  1. I'm using a 16V rad in mine and have cooling issues! If you're giving it some beans like chasing porkas at 140+ it sits about 110-115 but doesn't climb any higher than that! SAve your money for a decent Intercooler or aquamist!
  2. GT28RS the C, then go hunting Porka Drivers :)
  3. I ended spending quite a bit of dosh tweaking my 1.8 16V Motor! My advice, don't bother, rip it out and drop in summat more meaty such as a 1.8T or V6 24V!
  4. Used a Std 16v Rad, abeilt a brand new one like! No cooling issues though! As junkie says the boost pipes are the blue ones!
  5. It is actually clear, The bottle has got some disease or summat
  6. Mmmmmm Thats a bit Scary!a US version of my Car!!!
  7. what rims are those and what dimension ????? They are BBS LM's in 7.5 x17 4x100PCD ET40!
  8. Here's Mine: Moved the water bottle as it was an OE thing I was going for and all the water pipes mate up right! Have the relays mounted in the bay too!
  9. bit pricey, dunt include the box either! For a Legit BAM motor your looking to pay between £1500 and £2K! Bit less for a don't ask where this came from engine! You don't need the clocks as you can de-transponder the ECU!
  10. I thought Only good cars came out of Holland! That 2 tone thing is plain awful!
  11. Got a Fab vRS as my daily! Cheap Tax, but would love a MK2 valver as my daily car! My corrado is on a limited milage policy so is only £300 to insure :) It comes off the road at the end of next month :(
  12. If thw q-peng loom is gonna be that much £600 +Vat Eeek! I'll put you in contact with the guy who did my loom! it'll b a lot cheaper! Steve.
  13. If the box is a 6-speed it will be a balls ache to fit! It is huge compared to a 5speed! You'll need custom driveshafts made up to get it to work and mod the Firewall etc! Coxylad fitted one to his 1.8T Mk2 and he had a right chew on! TBH aswell the 6 speed has all the wrong ratio's for use in a corrado, sell it and get a 5-speed 20VT box! Much easier to fit and only the output flanges need modding to work with your existing driveshafts! How much is the Q-peng plug and play loom????? I'd use their downpipe though as I had to fabricate one for mine!
  14. Well Whoever told you that is telling porkies :) Most peeps with an ABF conversion fit the KR cams as it gives a good power increase over the ABF ones as I'm speaking from experience of doing it myself!
  15. Thats why it lives in the garage and I went and bought a 70quid garage lock from B&Q!!! Cheers for the support guys, thought I'd been heavy handed but I'm glad I did what I did now!
  16. What are you on about???? ABF cams have no valve overlap so that unburnt fuel dunt go down the CAT and knack it! The ABF make better midrange 'cos it's a 2litre, nowt to do with the std cams! Replace the cams with KR ones to creat valve overlap, more duration and better power! "The ones for a 16v" as you put it are KR cams! I have done this conversion on my last MK2 Golf so know what I'm on about! The ABF loom and ECU need are not complex to get working! The ECU is transpondered so you will need the key and the reader ring that sits round the ignition barrel of the donor car to get it to work! The Loom need minimal work to get it to fit! It cost me £50 to get the loom I used modified to fit my MK2! Had to use MK3 clocks to get the speedo to work but in a C it already has electronic speedo drive (Unless it's an early valver) so you shouldn't need to change your clocks! I'd go with the ABF loom and Ecu as its easier to tune for more power and with the KR cams installed it'll go like fook :)
  17. Use golf 110TDi output flanges with your std drive shafts! Dunno why Dec reckons it's expensive, £20(for the flanges) from a breakers
  18. Went for a blast in my C this afternoon, parked it on the drive and came in the house to for a bit before putting it back in the garage! Spied some kid sat down on next doors drive with his bike, didn't think owt of it as there are quite a few kids who play round from the neighbours kids etc! Sit down on my couch and see the kid crouching down by my rear wheel! Rub out the house to find the little fucker pinching my buuuurbs valve caps! Grab hold of him and shout at him to find out what the fuck he thinks he's doing, says he hasn't go them! I know it's wrong like, but I just lost my rag! I pushed the little shit over and told him I'd kick fuck out of him if he didn't hand it over! Sticks his hand in his pockets and pulls out 2 of my valve caps and 4 others!!!!! The little bastard! Anyway he starts crying (Oops) whilst I'm swearing my head off at him, Emily (My bird) comes out wondering what the hell is going on, kid asks for his bike back and then peddles off! You can't have anything nice these days without some shitbag wanting to take stuff! Anyway went to B&Q and bought one of those garage lock things just in case he tells some of his scrotey friends where a nice car is parked! It really fucks me off! Wished I'd kept hold of him now and called the police! Anyway I feel better now that rant is over
  19. The custom FMIC on my car was round the £350 mark! Not bad considering it is huge????? Why not use the 20VT box as it has a nice shift action than the older boxes and it's ratio's fit the 20v motor! Have you got a loom sourced??? If not I can give you then number of the guy that did mine, you'll be suprised how much cheaper it is compared to qpeng! Steve
  20. The ABF will fit in no probs, (It's only 10mm higher not 18) Don't see how K-jet will make more power than the ABF Ecu set-up as an ABF has 150bhp std! Drop in KR cams and a remap and it's an easy 165-170bhp!
  21. A very sad day for motorsport! My thoughts go out to his remaining family!
  22. Bit of a sleeper that ain't it! Just looks like my dads TDi 8) (Apart from the wheels) Manual too, very cool! with only 300 in the UK it's no suprise I haven't seen one in the flesh! I'd be deffo finding a way to get a nice induction kit on it so I can hear the growl!
  23. It's in my garage at the mo, Will take a couple of piccies during the week, I'm pretty sure you won't find another like this though :D Good price, nice tidy car, I'll have to send you 2 stickers now 8)
