  1. I still have my notes in a book regarding this at home. Just on nights at the moment unfortunately
  2. Doesn't look correct to my memory. I can have a look at the weekend as to where I put mine. Are you sure the seat pads do work anyway? Testing the resistance across the seat connections top and bottom will give you a low ohms resistance if all is okay.

    Welcome aboard 🖐
  5. Definitely worth the money. Did you already have the centre caps hidden away?
  6. Yes mate I did. Some times you waste hours trying to find the easier solution thinking about it and trying to get someone to help. Plan B always seems longer but amazingly isn't and allows you to get the job done. Good luck
  7. I've only done one on a mk2 golf 8 valve. I did have the sump off and went with a wooden wedge on the crank. 20 mins and the sump was off. Gave me a chance to clean it up and paint I too. Gearbox end bolts are always a VW pain
  8. With a retractable centre section, that doesn't work on the left hand side 😆
  9. That all looks amazing. Are you going to paint the bare nuts and bolts to stop them from rusting. That's the annoying part that you pay good money, make something amazing and the bloody thing goes rusty 🤬 May be not in your nice garage though 👍
  10. Great fix. Paint it black and no one will ever notice 😂
  11. Dated 2013 on the screen.... this site does hold great information
  12. Great spot , annoyed that I missed it
  13. I'll 2nd that suggestion
  14. That pump looks better than new, you must know a great player or sorting where to get those small parts from is amazing. All very impressive work. Calipers in an Oe look are definitely the way forward. Exceptional work as always 👍
  15. That bloody step 🤣 and yes, so must be jinxed. Took the wheel to be resealed at AP tyres, £16 and an hour's wait. I am not going there again. On the bright side I then stopped off at a smart repair place who attacked the wheel with some rubbing compound for free. Got home and polished it, then coated the wheel with some sealant to protect it. Unless you are so close to the wheel you can not see it. New shiny wheel radius wheel bolts fitted all round and the front wheels are nice and tight. Just need to find some locking wheel bolts. I had Mcgard black ones before, what do other people have?
  16. I managed to get the car back together, then took the rear wheel off as it needs resealing. Then I dropped the bloody thing face down 🤬🤬😥 Gutted. I think it is only the lacquer that is scratched but don't feel brave enough to do it myself. Smart repair needed maybe. Atleast I dont feel any issues with my wheel bearings now they are fitted . Just looking for the positive in this situation

When you get the dash out to do the heater matrix, you may as well recover the internal flaps whilst you are there.....They will need to be done and a cheap fix for it to work properly and not blow old foam in your face 😊

As above. The matrix does come with slightly longer pipes on it and then the 2 blue coolant hoses that you have joined together, join to this. A simple fix. You just need to take your dash out 🤣
  19. 😂😂 I'm thinking of getting some rollers in the garage, just so I can drive it.....
  20. After cleaning them back to bare metal, I soaked them in Hamblit rust remover, degreaser, anti-rust primer and then some plain Halfords black Enamel spray. All finished off with a lacquer coating. Let's see how long this lasts....
  21. How the heck do you even manage to do that? Looks great
