  1. Good luck with this Ant sounds like your well on your way to solving the issues.
  2. That looks a lovely motor, its amazing how small these cars look to their modern counterparts. These have such a great front body with the grill and Hella headlights, also some great BBS options at much better value then the VW world, may I add a bloody great interior and dash.
  3. On the other hand the internet is a brilliant aid like this forum.
  4. Not unless you like driving a Yugo. I think when you see kids sitting together and they are looking at their Iphones and there is no verbal interaction between them, pretty much sums up the situation that modern communication has caused.
  5. This is about the only good golf 16V I have seen on the market in the last six months for not silly money if anyone is looking to add a friend for their Corrado. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1990-Volkswagen-Golf-GTI-MK2-16v-3-owner-blue-Big-Bumper-Rare-ROYAL-Blue/283651807945?hash=item420af71ac9:g:lPMAAOSwMN5dr~QG
  6. That is a sucker so the LHD are a hell of alot easier to obtain but do not fit RHD. I believe they sold the Corrado in Japan, I wonder if they have some RHD ones
  7. 179 Euro was that with the sensors and cabling etc ? what do they go for now adding on scene tax/ How come ARZ sold them were they the last OE stock in Germany they got hold of ? Cheers.
  8. Hi Mart , There is a different part number , and the magic number for RHD is 536919527 LHD is 535919527
  9. All I can say on this matter is I want a set lol ! Is there a part number on the RHD side ones as Im on the hunt for a set and do not want to end up with a LHD set that I would be unable to house in my car.
  10. Thanks Fen Ill have a good read of that. I noticed on an old thread today that you have some VDO gauges chap ? Very nice.
  11. E30 are great for parts. did consider a lovely red 1.8 IS not to long back, the seller had spent a fortune on it and also the car had a real cool check interior . Mk2 Corrado would be great but you would just hope to god it would have some retro throw back designs to the original MK1. not a big fan of the Scirroco at present , sort of looks like a Golf with a nappy on, sorry if that offends anyone just my opinion.
  12. Sorry to hear of your bad luck. You wouldn't dream pick a fight with that big porker! Is it me or are most of the best alloys for a Rado 4 stud. Love the BBS RM BBS RS Sebrings BBS RA Kev can I ask you a bit of history of the VSR . How much was it new? Where did you order it from. Approx how many units were sold. Cheers.
  13. It does appear that you can use a MK3 golf one as the part numbers are cross referenced on this aftermarket fan control unit. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-VEM-Radiator-Cooling-Fan-Castor-Relay-V15-71-0032-Top-German-Quality/193131632550?hash=item2cf78ad7a6:g:IEcAAOSw6UlcpjuI Manufacturer Part Number 1: FORD : 7203654, FORD : 95VW14B205AA, SEAT : 357919506, SEAT : 357919506A, SEAT : 3A0919506, VAG : 357919506, VAG : 357919506A, VAG : 3A0919506, VW : 357919506, VW : 357919506A, VW : 3A0919506 Has your part number on your existing fan got one of the above numbers?
  14. Yep 3 stage for sure , I can't see why the newer version of the fan controller would not work if it is three stage. there is also another fan controller unit that is cheaper then the late VR fan control unit that has an A on the end with the same part number before that, is a lot more common and therefore cheaper, maybe this will also work. From a Golf Mk3 357 919 506 A https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vw-Golf-Mk3-Fan-Control-Relay-357-919-506-A/183964808325?hash=item2ad5283485:g:uQAAAOSw5SNdRHYS
  15. How many sensors do you have in your thermostat Fen ?
  16. Im sure I read somewhere that early models had a 2 stage fan and late 3 stage , could of imagined it though. Would this be the reason they changed over fan controller, I have no idea to be honest but keep us updated on your progress . Cheers.
  17. Been over to AMOS today re stocking on parts , got myself a mint set of internal window scrapers both sides x4 trims , 3 front indicator lenses, plenty of rare parts I grabbed today
  18. Well what I would say guys in regards to a starter motor, My JP group starter has gave me no issues, cant say that for the JP Mass Sensor !. In reflection though with my MK2 Golf I sent off my starter to a re manufacturing company in Manchester, think they refurbished my Bosch starter for £60 and my alternator for £120.00. Comes back sparkling with new fittings, paint and internals. You can't beat Bosch so the way I would go is send it off to get it refurbished, only a weeks turn around . Vince at Stealth follows the same procedure = refurbished stock is better than aftermarket. I can drop the link of the company if any one is interested. One thing you have to watch with Heritage with starters motors and alternators is they sell it if it fits but might be under powered on the amp etc. From factory is best, you know it has the correct spec so refurbishment is the way forward.
  19. Edit. Shaun thought he had purchased a full cover for lower windscreen and scuttle cover, however will have to fork out another £200 of his hard earned money or so if he wants the full spoonfed lower windscreen + all in one scuttle panel. Spoonfed is great stuff but bloomin expensive:scratch: Whilst looking at their site I priced up the boot and carpet set plus the carbon door sill trims the last owner purchased for my car . Floor mats $167.00 https://www.spoonfedtuning.com/collections/corrado/products/corrado-black-floor-mats-set-of-4-designer-series?variant=24665188039 Bott carpet $155.00 https://www.spoonfedtuning.com/collections/corrado/products/corrado-vr6-cargo-mat Door sill trims $200.00 https://www.spoonfedtuning.com/collections/corrado/products/corrado-door-sills-carbon-fiber Plus shipping and import duty I think the last owner must of parted with a whopping £600.00 for the above items. Probably would of been better they had spent the money on the drivetrain or bodywork of the car to preserve her.
  20. Managed to log on today but was unable to log on all last night, so it seems this is a new problem on the Forum to add other issues.
  21. When you see the part number starting with 535 you know VW are going to get their rebate back on low sale numbers of Rados from factory.
  22. Think the op is on about the trims that locate directly below the windscreen Fen not the scuttle panel.
  23. A user on here is selling a spoonfed one complete one piece if you search the posts from the last week.
