Thanks Fla and Shaun- Im concerned now my car fan unit has the wrong fan unit- has anyone got a picture of an S chassis fan or a storm of the radiator fan part number- very confusing on etka. Different size fans etc and age related. Cheers.
-
Ok thanks there are clips on the plug but they are good which house onto locating tabs on the fan I believe which looked snapped on the photos on mine .

Just purchased this Hella Behr - although is now officially Mahle as they purchased Hella refrigeration in 2019. Not a bad price was showing £130 on autdoc + B and B components and also showing out of stock so thought I would grab one before they become obsolete like the radiators. I don't want to risk the plug popping off - we all now what happens if a fan dont come on in congested traffic on a hot summers day. £76.00 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mahle-8EW-009-144-541-FAN-RADIATOR-FITS-VW-POLO-6N1-GENUINE-WHOLESALE-PRICE/153125316096?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Yes mate that is what Im thinking would be a front bumper off. Should of done a couple of weeks back-.

Anyone else got cable ties securing the plug into to rad fan motor ??? - mine was good but a mechanic must of broke the securing tabs at one point. My fan works fine and cable ties secure well tbf . I want to keep the Bosch unit or get a new one at some point. Looking at options seems to be a Hella fan and Valeo. I believe its the tabs on the fan motor that are broke not the plug ? Can you change the fan shroud off without taking off the front bumper and slam panel- very easy to change on a Mk2. 5 minute job

Have a new unused fan motor loom for sale for a PG or 9A engine. £120.00 including postage to UK- was 368 euro new from VAG- as you can see quite a big loom with many different plugs and live feed. Only selling as not correct part for my VR. Loom is obsolete from VAG Pictures attached - Loom part number is 536 971281 G for RHD cars. Thanks Open to offers.

The 16v I broke up the owner had upgraded to 280 mm front brakes and also put a 6 branch abs unit on it - one thing I love about my golf it dont have ABS. Think the rears are bigger to cant remember.

Thanks chap. Interesting the picture on the advert actually has a Hella sticker on it - Nissens is a good brand for sure. I would be quizzing the seller and make sure I was ordering as described and not end up with a Dasis for double the price. Core depth is 34mm on the Dasis so pretty much stock - same depth core as the Nissens one on advert on Amazon. Infact the measurements are the same as the dasis on Amazon and on autodoc says nissens is 35mm core.

Good practice for sure- I have actually had bubbling before through premature decal application so leant the hard way.

My drivers one the bottom part of the seal has spit an inch or two from the end - same with the left- Im going to fit the new one to passenger side and check out my spare doors in the shed if the drivers door has a good used one. I think they play quiet an important job as they stop water coming in and sitting on the internal sills- your decals look good- have some to put on myself- going to let the paint cure for 30 days and let the gases escape from the paint before sealing it with the sill protective trim as premature fitting before gases escape can cause bubbling.

Thanks for the replys Sure if you look at the yellow tape on the back looks same a Shaun. I actually have a nos bottom door seal one to put on - can still buy the press studs = its odd on etka the seal ending with 13 is for left but the right one is just blank with no part number- are they the same seal for both sides. Update left ends with 13 and right 14 - both obsolete as a dodo.

You can still buy those door hinge seals new - same as a MK2 golf and can buy from VAG. Also came on some Audi, they come flat but when you shut the door it presses them. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-ur-quattro-coupe-door-check-strap-gasket-867837267/223908062506?epid=1709535915&hash=item3421f5e52a:g:JR4AAOSwdUtdhJqT

Bottom of door seal. How do you get these off- do you just pull the clips off the bottom - can you do it with the doorcard still on ? Cheers.

Dont mess with Nigel man and a shed Top Bloke !

Im not sure but would it be cheaper to buy a breakers car- I imagine a mk3 or something like that = sell the other parts?
-
To be honest Shaun I think its about time you invested in one of these. 😂
-
I took one to Vince and he said my old one aint bad so must be a bitch of a job - I reckon I would put it in some very hot water first and also use some fairy liquid as lubricator. Robin who is there from time time also put me off by saying the new seal sticks up more.
-
I dont think these new sunroof seals are as good fit tbh.
-
All keepers though im waiting for my sunroof to go although functioning A1 - last owner of my car said it was the last corrado sunroof for sale new from VAG- I wonder what year he purchase it.

Im actually holding back from these car raffles as I believe I could become addicted to them- especially If I won one could make me a right addict - reckon I would spend more then I won in the long run so would be a no from me.
-
Never seen it before but the audi RS6 or the 82k give away would be nice- I would take the money all day long build my garage and pay off some of the mortgage., Engine bay looks nice on the corrado but to riced out for me personally in regards to interior.

Merry Xmas everyone . Does the oil temp come from the sensor in the side of the manifold or is it the third sensor next to the low and high oil pressure. What is the max safe temp on the coolant gauge then about 110 then really by the sounds of it- I imagine your car can get hot Shaun with a Turbo ?

Just noticed this- think its the plug that has the securing clips that always brakes which is plugged into the rad fan. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1H0973204-1H0-973-204-4-WAY-CONNECTOR-KIT-Inc-Terminals-and-Seals-4-AC278/233324341480
