Yes it is a 6 branch one - it was a 16v but one of the previous owners upgraded all the brakes and also the abs unit. Can get some pics if your interested - cut the brake lines going into it rather then unbolting everything as acts like a bit of a seal for the unit whilst in storage- also put into plastic bag tied up . Has the part number on the unit. Its been priced as parts as do not no if in working condition.
  2. Yes very good upgrade Stealth uses this on every chain renewal including my own car. Stealth also uses the Febi chain kit.
  3. Just spotted this on facebook- seems reasonable money for a rare edition . Maybe one for James Campaign to have a pair. Dox I think you like a Campaign ? Campaign spec from factory. 1988. 4. Yes it is 40 just hoping my golf and rado meet historic tax status because 1990 onwards is when diesels were released - who knows they may have a cutoff line rather then a 40 year old rule .

This one has been off a car for about 7 weeks- I would keep it but mine is a very late unit and has a different part number ( 6 branch ). If anyone us interested £65.00 plus postage - can get some photos as mentioned no evidence it is in good order as removed straight off a car I got trailed and broke due to rotten chassis.
  6. Hi, How come you mention 30 years tax I think its 40 years old and if you have updated your logbook cars with engine swaps are void from classic tax exemption I think.

Yeah heard they went bust - I have an abs unit in the shed off a breakers car but cant vouch for it as never driven the car .
  8. Think they paid him 8K for it.
  9. I’m pretty sure that car had 12k of paintwork - was for sale on here and is local to me . You’ll find it in cars for sale section . Owner spent a load on it mostly paint .
  10. Not seen the S. African guy but yes Italia Auto his only about 10 miles from me. I like the six cylinder burble of them and also love the ribbed sports seats and the quirky design features. However never purchased one due to reliability issues and rotten subframes. I think Italia auto mechanic breaks the cars with little wrong with them and also a bit of a chancer in the paint booth to be honest but his price reflects this- I was cringing when he did not remove the bonnet decal and locks for paint.
  11. Whoops slip of the tongue meant Lancia have been watching lots of Alfa videos lately on youtube.
  12. Very true that is - where as here I nearly forgot a Jetta gti existed . I read somewhere a couple years back that they USA market has doubled the the value of a alfa romeo integrale through shipping them over to the USA.
  13. Thanks just let me know where to pay and how much I will pm you my address when you want payment- cheers.
  14. Lets see how the vag classics are doing stateside - seemingly its becoming ever popular to import euro classics older than 25 years as per USA tax laws. From what I have seen its very hard to get an unmolested model out there. MK2 16V somewhat modded and not a great example to be honest but apparently they never come on the market. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1990-volkswagen-golf-gti-16v-2/ No Corrado on there at the moment but will post one if becomes live on bring a trailer. Here are a couple examples of MK2 on classic classifieds. But they are offering to bring from Holland as that thin on the ground. https://classiccars.com/listings/find/1983-1991/volkswagen/golf Unfortunately again no examples of the Corrado. on the website. Must be hard to get one.
  15. You can still get the external wing badges off Heritage form a Ghia- might be to large and rough on the edges for the cabin though. could sneak it on the external body somewhere. Length 97 mm Width 24 mm Height 4 mm https://www.heritagepartscentre.com/uk/155853901-badge-karmann-makers-plate.html
  16. This car sold just with 31k on the clock and has factory springs and you can see the factory colour coded dots which confirms original suspension. I think you can take for gospel this was the factory ride height on a late factory VR as also picture taken on a flat floor.
  17. Its weird when you see a factory late car they look like they are stilts but yours looks low- I wonder if your tyre walls were higher then factory and also if your shocks were that old that they have lowered the car due to wear. I really think you need to see them on a flat floor to see the true heights as a slight gradient will make the car look lower then the other side.
  18. Nice motor fen . Early cars sit a lot better - I think late models when you look at the rear of the cars the wheels look odd and almost like the car body / bumper needs to be lower and rap a bit more to the lower wheel .
  19. Click on the link you can buy the sticker id its in stock.
  20. Nice one mate I will put it to rest ha.

  22. Members does my car look like its sitting the way it should- on B4 and eibach 20 -25mm with the rear springs that are sent afterwards like other posters on here. Second picture is perfectly flat ground. Thank you
  23. It doesnt give you much hope when you think have eibach even tested late springs correctly .
