Thanks for the fast response Sean they are 57.5 he measured with one of those precise engineering twiser looking things, I imagine that would fall under the size of 57.1 and just paint making up the size to 57.5 ?
-
I kinda like the way you have yours, sometimes less is more.

Need some wheel pervets help here if I may. Have been told these have been refurbed white. Are these Vento competition 16 Speedlines ? Quick response would be appreciated. Im concerned they are Subaru ones or speedline 2110 Cheers,

He was just adamment has to be the Bosch one and not the NGK version of the above part number. Im seeing him on Monday so will ask what the advantages are and why not the NGK ones. I suppose he has the dyno so sees all the figures and engine performance pattern . Please note this is specific to the spark plug part number above not that of the standard NGK spark plug for a RADO VR6.

Yep they are the correct part number he fitted some to mine last year and I also had the injectors refurbished. Correct they must be the Bosch ones and he told me specifically not to use the NGK spark Plugs with the same part number.

Think I will go with that Cressa looks tidy and stock. Mine is DIY polished at the moment and I have had no heat issues but I will go with what Vince says, also polished is a pain to keep clean and less protection.
-
Interesting spoke to Vice last week about getting my Schrick polished and he advised against it, he said something about the heat- so just getting painted silver at the body shop on his estate. Was thinking stock silver unless anyone else has got any ideas. Photos of other folks Schrock would be good for ideas..

I've told the lads who work for me that I will not lay them off and worse case scenario I will guarantee them a 3 day pay minimum best contingency plan I could come up with because ultimately when things get back to normal there still has to be business there for folks to earn, however I have told them to be frugal with their money. Not sure if my clients are going to hoard payments, but orders will go down significantly, I think the hospitality and travel industry will be worst hit and the supply chains . I'm just glad I have a dog to walk and a large 7 square mile ancient woodland right next to me, It really does a world of good to the worrying mind, exercise in a scenic setting with a mad ass Airedale. The biggest thing is to not put people at risk that fall in the high risk category everything else will panout eventually.

Amazing how cheap you can pick things up sometimes, at that price its worth buying a few sets. In these present troubling times I imagine there will be a few bargains surfacing, however its probably wiser to hold on to money. I imagine many have a few items they never use but had appreciating value and worth selling on a rainy day, well the rain is here big time.

Just make sure when they re bore that they measure each individual piston and bore per one.
-
All down to budget then really- an experienced garage would charge you up to 4k for bottom and top end rebuild or a DIY maybe for around 2-2.5k. I know true 6 2.9 pistons pistons would cost £850.00 alone as I have just purchased some. Also the cylinders do not take kindly to relining in a VR block so you would have to go up to a true 2.9 cc(cylinders bored out and pistons to match. As Sean says might be your best option with a 2.8 block but you would have to live with the power drop but not much is it 0.1 to be fair.
-
What condition are the cylinders in, any scoring or ovulation ?
-
What is wrong with your present engine block and it will give members a better idea on input to your situation. Thing is you never want to go down in CC really .
-
Yes more money but I cant wait to see a set on my car in 16.
-
Wicked the company on the link is in my home city.
-
I'm gonna try a set of these bad boys once I get through the engine build, Think the only thing youll need is the spigots as centre bore is larger, normally sent out free with the wheels.
-
Oh my these are a good option if you like BBS Lm but not the price or the size of them. (16 tops for me) Japan Racing will make them in 16 and to the exact ET43 and 7j 5x100. JR23 custom £584.00 for a set and are a tested/approved wheel not cheap crap. Swop the centre cap out for a BBS hey presto. https://www.driftworks.com/japan-racing-jr23-16x7-et20-45-custom-pcd-hyper-black.html

Great stuff Ben thanks for introducing yourself. There are a fair few Rados around the Midlands by the sounds of it, there is a Khaki 16V down the road from me and the girl is always telling me how rare the colour is. June it is then Seb we will all start drumming up a plan. -
Yeah mate my leather isn't too bad but I destroyed the old gear shift pattern by glueing it back on after it fell off (glue bled through and bubbled the pattern), so I'm quite happy with the solution I came up with help off Bryan off here who made the decal. .

This is the 3m you need , don't cost too much. 3m 467mp https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3M-467MP-200-x-100mm-Double-Sided-Adhesive-Tape-for-Touch-Screen-Phone-Repair/321868636833?epid=15003607841&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item4af0dda2a1:g:KyYAAOSwIaFZIqaZ&enc=AQAEAAACQBPxNw%2BVj6nta7CKEs3N0qUF8VkmLn8OO86I2xusb1%2FLPN%2BXEsBVnIsB5sjZ0NotmmuslP0rUJ5aKnd3HP1G4MuDQHsFB33InFbtyLsPVbE%2Bi4hOdr17Kwu3AT%2BvMa7n56Ho7M5D%2FE7xynrUsRo0bSPSLu8vfskXK2VI2HL08Byr%2BdnagljADly17LZH1R9TILOIauLcUvMolLaoierTB73QeWd%2BLW4NaeKLriJ4eDAgvemHFBx3fo%2BmAPFSsRxBuEA9I8la4fEMtHkO2Vn%2FQ0EclbRfJ%2B7gr2RU6ukYmqILiClD17vx8jR6PLBEbzlI22iN4OELcCRj%2Bl4dwNPSTKrU%2BT2FRtekG3MUoN3rXtcSEhfJM6dVzJyXmgb%2FpQy%2BSLIUBwGiJ8NGB8U07LKsKxOrJI90td2mrTpmBqRJ0h2aVNBWkA%2FlLkgekhgizFPdaGkOiqhwg08ogZrbKY1P6MoqRjTQp0QoFIUH5%2F%2FKO3r6Gie4EK05M45i18dA2wW0NQ1cmyQ1HkBq3ocXAdzXhfgEKwMmaC1qXdIHKyp8LckF7UQJ80BSCrKQ4l0Q9sUFNQ6TOzvwYpoED4zPOmH444ObfehaTYNjqVPDI%2FL4QtsIAfdeYtVNwKboq7Siazc5cbwX6WuIZ5Q4aphdbZpJ79imJj7pF37yV1G0c1hTit4l7RHqgwfwcIC0Xrg%2FfilGXCm9zow7u8byIpbsSMIoqeZIR%2BZ4eLfqihCeiCx6YRZQEuB8M%2BAOwf%2FNaUjqTOpPew%3D%3D&checksum=321868636833c8c8ded1ec17415b9a40b31405a1a5e8

Sorry mate forgot to update. Same as refunded off paypal . What I can do though mate as I have a spare one of these is send you one in the post no problem. Take off the glass dome off the top and give it a good clean or a fine sandown with paper , get some double sided 3m clear tape and stick it on the decal and then stick it to the underside of dome and then onto knob Sorry only have the one spare folks. If members really want one I can ask a member if he wants to make more as he did it as a favour for me to be honest. I could of done a better job fitting mine as left some fingerprints under the plastic dome ha , alcohol wipes that what you need.

Great work have you got the engine back in the bay yet. Good reading what was done to your engine as mine is having exactly the same done at Stealth shortly. Will have to pop in and see him when the engine is out and see if there are any hard to reach parts that could do with a powder coating, Might get the alternator refurbished as well with the easy access.
