Hope this helps.... Sorry about the quality - no decent image editor at work...

Yep, I know it all to well, its when a sensor is dead or reading out of range, the ECU then resorts to a fixed value to keep the engine running and prevent any major damage.
-
Errr, the fronts are the cheapest, about £25 from GSF
-
LOL!

I fink itz ok
-
Well... I think my way is better! :)

Or the Aux tensioner.... Why not treat your Storm to a truip up to Stealth Racing for a look over...
-
Well, they are both the same age but could also be an airlock... Nice and easy to change but you can measure the resistance first...
-
I think so - but which sensor do you mean? front/rear/BPPS??
-
They've been available for over a year from the usual places - have a look at Inters..

Welcome to the forum!

No, if you want to replace them all the Samco's are slightly cheaper I think...

Have you also run the RCA's well away from the power going to the amps..?
-
mistrall, Is yours sorted now??

Right, I think this might be my problem after speaking to Darren (G-man) He said it should not pulse but has discovered it does when he unplugs the Blue Temp sensor... I went to test again and plugged in my old sensor but still the same... Looks like something on that circuit is bad and causes my car to almost stop when it reaches 80 degrees... I've checked the wiring physically and have checked continuity to the ECU plug, also when I uplug the BTS when the engine is running, the note chages so I think the connection is there but something on that circuit is bad causing the ECU to change the fueling map... Any Ideas....

Might have been - I think he went off to Cornwall for a week - not sure exactly where the M4 is??

Right, couldn't really get to it and thought i was going to stick a screwdriver thru the fluid bottle so decided to undo the master cyl and just pull it forward, I think this is the best way as it also released the vacuum in the servo, still needed a screwdriver to prise out but the new one went back in fine....

Its just ontop of the engine cover... Looks like this... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... RK:MEWA:IT Yeah, that road is superb.... and then you get back to Ipswich.
-
Worth cleaning it, have you tried unplugging the blue temp sensor?? - If the revs don't drop then, then the sensor is shagged... Hows the suspension?
-
Yeah, I think Gav uses them for parts for his looms...

sudse2004, welcome to the forum! Is it a dealer fitted one?? - If so VW should be able to order a new one if you give them the registration\chassis number

Hmmm... there was a bit of cack on the inside of the cover but nothing I couldn't remove with degreasent in 5 minutes... It tends to collect there I think despite the splash gaurd... The engine is in a good state I think, pulls ok and doesn't use much oil, is that colour something to do with forced induction engines..? I don't think its caused by cheap oil as It's had VW services up to 80k's and changes every 3k since I bought it (on 73k's) with synta silver...
