  1. Hi Guys... Which is the best one to get and where from?
  2. Spot on Jim but you didn't write that did you...
  3. Drive it like your granny, you should see at least 40 Mpg, if you don't then there something wrong, may just need tuning...
  4. At least you have the windscreen cover, just make sure they do a good job fitting it!
  5. Yep, the FEBI bumpstops GSF sell are better than VW as they are rubber not foam. also try... http://www.vwspares.co.uk/ Same stuff but cheaper than GSF.
  6. If there in the black plastic housing on the front of the head then there sensors not switches, the Black one is for the water temp gauge and the Blue one is for the ECU, I think they read roughly the same so can be swapped over to test... Yes, you can get different temp switches, the standard G60 one comes on at 110c but people do fit lower temp ones as well.... Hope you get it sorted....
  7. I think they make the wheel brace that long so you can do them up by hand and get roughly the correct torque which is 110Nm
  8. Yep, mines leaking from the same place, cheers for the list Henny as I need to order the same, just havn't got round to it yet  Are the plastic flanges from GSF ok or better to buy VAG?? BTW - the Febi stuff from GSF is G12 spec according to my local place, thats why they also sell VW's G12+
  9. Most likely the Cat Heatsheild, mine was doing it at about 2500 rpm, have a look underneath while someone revs it... If it is that either cut it off or use a large Jubilee clip 8)
  10. Hmmm... I'd change the temp sensors and the stat as there not much £... Hopefully not the water pump else the charger will have to come back off again to change it - you havn't done something strange and managed to run the serpentine (supercharger drive) belt and somehow missed the waterpump pulley???
  11. There only £20 each from VAG
  12. Tie rod ends - just use a fork type BJ seperator, ou will need to replace them afterwards as you damage the boot taking them off... BJ's - You will need the allignment doing after this...
  13. You can probably make it fit wih a bit of 'tweaking' Loads of people have fitted the later grills to early cars but there are 3 or 4 different types of slam panel out there...
  14. The Lupo ones are the only ones small enough - all the others i've seen are huge!
  15. That was my bloody Chrome badge as well, you borrowed it and then sprayed it pink!
  16. First - oil the mechanism ontop of the Throttle Body Second - change the cable, new ones come complete with cable guide etc
  17. Maybe its running on 5... - is it a coil pack model?
  18. Wasn't me then, I didn't go thru Kesgrave... I think I know the one you saw tho...
  19. 'They've re-badged it'
  20. Probably, about 11am? on the A12/A14, I was on way to Stowmarket and as I got there I saw a Nugget Yellow 16v
  21. It will be the starter solenoid sticking because of heat, especially in this weather... stick a breaker bar on the boot and next time it happens try hitting the starter motor with it
