  1. Yeah, not sure it's thick enough tbh... I use pipe insulation foam and just screw it to the wall at the height of the door line - cheap and works a treat!
  2. Available from Classic Parts (VW Heritage)
  3. Not the barrel, no but the original Ignition switches on Corrado's have been upgraded now to a better part (6N0 Polo) - if you take the cowling off the new ones are black in colour, not yellowy white.
  4. Physical fit is one thing but the fact most pattern rad's i've seen are slightly thinner with less cooling fins than the original is slightly worrying, especially on a Car like the Corrado which needs as much cooling capacity as you can get! What about the 670mm A/C rad - still available?
  5. I'd get the R32 badges while you still can!
  6. Only VW Chris, I enquired a few years ago as they are based in Yorkshire IIRC but they only make the cores and then they ship to a VW company in Germany to assemble. They used to be £125 from TPS but prices have gone silly since!
  7. Hella or valeo best if you can't get a genuine one but if you can I would as the quality of the denso ones is far superior
  8. Have a look at VWSpares - 2 versions available
  9. You need full allignment inc camber, not just tracking!
  10. I'm sure ETKA says the late one is ok but you need the matching pedal too - speak to VW!
  11. Exactly - and when you look at Porsche specialists they seem to really know the cars and deal with any recalls / known issues etc etc - this guy doesn't have a clue and is clearly sticking a massive markup on cars after a quick valet. Also agree with Kev too though and I've said it for a while, where Corrado's are getting cheaper and cheaper there are some real dogs out there and you only have to look at some of the problems people are having - like the MK2's the good ones will get more and more sought after and hold their value - we will then see prices increase accordingly as the cheap ones deteriorate and get scrapped / broken for parts. Parts are also now an issue whereas before you could buy something cheap that needed work and be able to get all the parts needed - you now can't rely on this so a 'minter' is worth even more.
  12. Good work - you had it on VAGCOM yet? You can see what the injectors are doing and look at the timing etc - very useful! Other thing to do is delete the EGR valve and associated vac pipes - you might find taking off the inlet and cleaning it will also bring back some more power
  13. Welcome to the forum - it's probably Aqua Blue Pearl but in 1991 there were 3 different blues... Is the sticker not on the rear panel (access via the boot) or in the front of the logbook? This should give the engine code 'PG' along with the paint code which will be something like LC5U
  14. Man you don't have much luck! GSF ones are usually the wrong voltage so toy need to blip the throttle on startup to start charging - not at all ideal Try and get a genuine Bosch one if you can!
  15. He'll need to clean out the whole boost system before he fits it!
  16. Yeah - or cancel the DD from your online banking...
  17. Yep - needs consistent rain but still better than none at all... I use mine on everything now - number plates, headlamps, house windows, shower door etc etc
  18. Just called, cheers for that - got a free copy coming but they will try and set you up for a 3 month subcription for £1 and then you have to cancel like most of these things. I just insisted on the freebie!
  19. On a VR6?? Yep - the aux belt or serpentine is the only belt on that engine - 2 types, A/C and non A/C Maybe buy a new one from Eurocarparts as they sell continental (same as VAG) and fit it as they need doing every 60k miles or so anyway Easy to fit, just need an M8x80 bolt to release the tension and then swap the belt over. ---------- Post added at 05:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:44 PM ---------- CRAZY25 for 25% off
  20. You need something a bit more heavy duty than that and even the ones machine mart sell leak so you must wear a proper mask, especially if using actual sand which is seriously bad for you. To be honest you are best off finding a local place that will do bits for you for cash.
