  1. I'm not really sure - I think it's set in the cast, maybe glued... should be able to drill out and re-tap though and get one of those hose connectors to screw in.
  2. That's the inlet - you just need a new one although it could probably be fixed by a machine shop Nipple is no screwed in so not available from VW
  3. You can get away without one for Copper or Kunifer pipe - no the original steel stuff though!
  4. As above, you'll be lucky to get a G60 for £2k that doesn't need thousands spent on it - good ones are rarer than VR's now. As with any Corrado buy the best you can afford - around £3.3-4k should get a decent one.
  5. 47 quid??? You can weigh a cat in for around £100 I was told!
  6. Yeah, it's most likely an intermittently binding caliper (compare the heat of both side after a run) or as above, corrosion on the outer edge of the disc - needs bashing off every couple of years.
  7. It maybe that someones fitted a non central locking door handle as these are only £30 as opposed to £95! Why you have different locks though is simply down to garages / previous owners being lazy - new handles come with new locks and keys for some reason even though it only takes minutes to swap the originals in.
  8. Yeah the G60 is the same - it's becuase the car wasn't designed around the engines. You have to take the RHS headlight out to get to the G60 filter and unless I use a carrier bag I end up with oil all over the metal water and pas pipework.
  9. Yep - worth changing the ECU one too while you're at it!
  10. Blimey - so you think it's been in there some time then?? I was expecting you to say it must have been left accidentally on the last oil change!
  11. You've not fitted a loom recently have you?? - just this happens when you do and haven't correctly unplugged the dim-dip resistor
  12. The state of that oil filter too!
  13. Switches can fail like this - look at the switch, if it's not the new black plastic part then change it... Also try jiggling the key as your turning it over and see if it will start
  14. I had this issue with poly wishbones and never got it sorted after various allignment sessions at Stealth etc - only got fixed when I went back to new standard ones with TT bushes
  15. Could be a collapsed hose and I'd expect you to really fee the imbalance on the road under heavy braking as the MOT spec allows for a fair bit of imbalance before a failure is given
  16. Mate - metal is worth loads at the moment - cars are worth £100 absolute minimum - I weighed in a pair of brake discs and 4 shocks and got £20 a few weeks ago.
  17. It should have at least been an advisory... I'd call VOSA first thing - they may want to inspect the car
  18. Wiper blades are one thing but the brake line is another - I'd be speaking to Vosa and getting some legal advice!
  19. I think it's something to do with the reference for the purple signal wire... On most G60's I've seen the 4 pin lambda plug only connects to a loomk with 3 wires - this is becuase the earth wire connects to a bracket ontop of the rear engine mount.
  20. I'd just call round and get some quotes but taking it yourself is obviously going to pay more... most places are giving at least £150 for anything at the moment so £200 should be achievable I would think
