As above - Roddy - why do you keep creating new accounts - what's up with the original one??
-
10.9 and 12.9 for suspension
-
Still not high enough...

Love the engine on it's side... is the babyseat included too?
-
Have you done a diagnostic yet?? - this should be the first port of call
-
Yeah, I noticed these when I was up an Yan's = seems a bit of a random selection to me and says nothing about the quality / tensile strength etc... I honestly think you're better off using new VAG stuff for brakes / suspension as many of these are 10.9 and 12.9 bolts and also have flange heads etc The smaller stuff I'd then just replace with stainless like the manifold allen bolts etc

VW actually say 5W-30 for the VR (same as PD oil) although I wouldn't run this on an old engine...

I was sexy dancing in front of a bird I was trying to pull in a club, I could see she was giving me the eye as I bust out some of my best moves. Eventually she came over, she whispered, "Thanks to you my knickers are dripping wet." I said, "Oh really." As I threw in a few more moves. She said, "Yeah, me and my mates have just been p$ssing ourselves watching you dance."

How are the fog lamp / indicators secured to the bumper?
Supercharged replied to VR6Pete's topic in Exterior
There should be speednuts that clip onto the plastic... If it doesn't look right then maybe someones fitted an early bumper and bodged the late lights onto it?? -

Hi mate, just read your PM - I'll pass onto Andi and see if he can raise the limit or get the file off you and upload it himself... -
Yep - screws were not very long as standard and often rattle loose
-
Karl is after the metal bracket - whoever did the shocks forgot to fit it! The rubber part can be cut off an old hose and fitted with the cut side facing inwards
-
When was the fluid last changed?? Replacement calipers are cheap enough exchange but check the carriers are not badly corroded first.
-
Just reading this months Golf+ about the new Golf Cab being built at VW's 'new' plant in Osnabruck... No mention at all of Karmann or their history of building cabriolets and designing roof systems
-
Looks good - you should check that it comes with the elbow as per OE and also if they will supply these seperatly too?
-
Have you checked the pipe from the back of the TB to the ECU? Also check the throttle switches but tbh it could be a lot of things - timing, ignition fault etc
-
Was going to say, new ones are not expensive!

Yeah might as well... will take a bit more time but it's fairly straightforward, use a rubber mallet to move the pump if it's stuck -

Nice to find an 8v Golf with PAS! You have to undo the pump and move out the way slightly then just undo the 3 bolts going up to drop the pas bracket
