  1. Not quite, I buy genuine from VW, they aren't that expensive really.
  2. No I haven't got one, just seen them on ebay for £35 and seems like a good price. Its the marring that puts me off and don't fancy having to lay tape down before using it. didn't know if there was one that didn't marr the bonnet. Cheers for the offer but I'd end up with it for ages as I don't get over your way to often to pick it up and return it.
  3. Is that romance with the misses or the car Chris? Enjoy the trip.
  4. Welcome, looks like you got yourself a good corrado
  5. Just wondered what the general impressions of bonnet bras is? I've tried one before but it seemed to put fine scratches / scuffs on the bonnet. After using it I would have to machine polish the bonnet. Was it because it wasn't a new one and maybe didn't fit tight enough?
  6. Yep, new cables. Undo them at the handbrake, Pull the clip off that the red arrow points too and unhook the end that the blue arrow points to. Make sure the lever that the yellow arrow points to is free and not seized.
  7. Yes, they should be in the bracket attached to the car tunnel.
  8. Looks like you need new cables mate. Also check the levers on the callipers are free
  9. According to Chris's records, It was last at stonor in 2011 and had 43473 miles so shouldn't have changed much. Make sure you pop over and say hello, be good to put a face to a name. You should take yours out for a run!
  10. It's about 450mile round trip but have a mate who lives in Flitwick which is only about an hour away so staying at his on the Saturday night. I did (around that area) there and back in the day a month or so ago in the Corrado and its not too bad. Its just the mileage that's going on the corrado, i'm getting near to 48K miles now.
  11. Sorry, cant make this, booked into Stonor Park on the 31st. There is a classic car meet at the Humber Bridge this Friday evening if anyone fancies a drive over to hull.
  12. The heat shield part numbers came directly from my heat shields when I took them off. That new one does look good though. Brake pipe brackets are obsolete, I think I must have got some of the last ones as I bought some just before Christmas. If you clips are ok, you can always wire wheel them and have them re-plated
  13. They are still showing the American series, that's maybe what the advert was for. Definately going to be a corrado one in the autumn.
  14. Just read the entry rules for the concours entry and it says that all cars must be driven into the show and display a valid tax disc......might be a problem.
  15. I didn't mean the RS's, I simply meant the lowered suspension and different allots in general! I still think RS's are the best wheel.
  16. Looks great in the pictures. Stand out from the crowd and stay standard.
  17. Just googled a company called lepsons, they do diamond cutting and there is plenty of photo examples on the website.
  18. The dishes look diamond cut as standard. When I looked into refurbishing that actual set I found someone that would do it. There's plenty of people around now that do diamond cutting.
  19. I've heard its a good show but was down there in the corrado a few weeks ago and it's a 450mile round trip!
  20. I like these type of shows, the lotus elite and esprit look ace! Not sure when a mazda mx5 became retro though?
  21. I want to get some of this foam, how close is it to the genuine VW stuff? Is it the same material?
  22. So nothing supporting the 2 metal tubes but there is a plastic clip holding the 2 big pipes from the PAS pump. One from the front: (this was before it was cleaned so excuse the oil and dirt)
  23. As a quick reference, if you check my old thread for the blackberry VR, page 11 of the members gallery, then page 46 of my thread there is a picture of the assembled subframe. If you zoom in you can make out the plastic clip on the bracket. As I said, I may have a better picture at work though.
  24. There isn't a bracket for the metal pipes but there should be a plastic clip on the back of the bracket but not using the 3 holes you can see. I think the plastic clip may hold the pipes from the ABS pump. I might have some pics on my laptop but it's at work so will check in the morning
