  1. I'd be up for it depending on availability. I'm in hull and have a VR6 storm
  2. That's got me stumped, I prefer 'name the bracket'
  3. If you find my old blackberry thread, then go to page 40. The bottom picture of the engine shows it mounted. Picture 7, left hand bracket also goes on the front of the engine at the top left above the 3 sensors at the top of the water pipe. It can also be seen on the picture on page 40 Page 46 of my old thread you can see the bracket on the abs pump too Page 42 shows the one on the suspension turret. It fits on the 2 studs
  4. 5th picture I think goes on the right hand side of the engine around the timing chain cover and has something to do with the inlet manifold if I remember correctly
  5. First one goes on the front right hand side of the engine and is a lifting bracket. It picks up on the manifold bolts. The second is also a lifting bracket that goes on the back left hand side. 3rd picture - don't know. 4th picture holds the power steering pipe at the front bottom of the gearbox 6th picture goes on the clutch slave cylinder 7th picture - bracket on the right goes on the front odd the abs pump and holds a resistor type thing. 8th picture I think goes on the suspension turret on the drivers side near the filter box / maf (is it?)
  6. Looking at the forcast its heavy rain all Saturday night so definitely looks like the corrado will be staying in the garage this weekend.
  7. Sad day Paul but congrats on the sale.
  8. Alarm bells would have rung with the arch roller guy when he laid the rs on the concrete and used it as a seat!! I had my arches rolled on my old golf by stylehaus and no cracking or damage at all. Shame about yours though.
  9. I'm also weather watching, the slightest sniff of rain for Sunday and my Corrado will be staying in the garage unfortunately.
  10. One of the pins is stepped but the other is smooth. If I remember correctly, the stepped pin goes to the top.
  11. The stuff I've seen doesn't chip and if you get scratches in it, you just warm it up and they disappear!
  12. Next one is in July Matt, I'll let you know. Catch up before then though as I need to see your car. Mud flaps aren't standard but mainly the engine bay (although it did get 17 out of 20). Cheers Kip, would love to know what those few things are that you would have liked to have seen done. I want this to be as good as yours.
  13. No updates really other then a first place at Stanford Hall, really chuffed scoring 132 out of 140! Went to a local classic meet last night and stopped by my local VW for a quick pic:
  14. Can you get them through ford?
  15. Can you still get genuine black leads?
  16. Mine a week after yours then, the big four o!
  17. According to the wheeler dealers website, the new uk series starts on the 17th August!
  18. Smells fantastic too. 1 coat leaves it natural but 2 coats gives them a nice sheen
  19. I got mine from vw a couple of years but the guy said they couldn't guarantee if they would be red. (I think newer corrados had black leads) He kindly rang around different dealers and got them to check before sending!
  20. Looks great Mr bourbon off the forum, well worth all the time and effort. Good luck with the MOT tomorrow, I'll be at the Humber bridge country park in mine from 6.30 tomorrow night if you want to take it for a run.
  21. Can you not get them from vw?
  22. According to the Bentley manual it's the return line. It's not clear where it goes under the bonnet but I reckon it's a good chance of being the same. Will the scanned manuals or ETKA tell you anything? ETKA may show the same part number?
  23. I'm using Gtechniq T1 tyre dressing. gives a really nice finish. Used to use the megs but found it stuck all up the sides of my car and also used to make the wheels messy when it got mixed with brake dust.
