Yep! I asked you if the rh's where heavy. Top car by the way. It's all about the introduction!! Your car is mental mate!

It was good to put faces to names. Did anyone meet Matt - redborbet on the forum!!

The rear end is all complete now (for this year!) so back on its wheels But, looking through the gaps in the front wheels, the brakes didn't compare with the back so up it came again. The front discs where to be replaced with new genuine articles but VW have decided to obsolete them!!! I wanted to keep original items on the car as they have the part numbers and VW logo on the centre hub part so off to the shot blasters, then the machine shop for skimming then found some paint that matched the new rear discs The calipers have been stripped and sent away for plating and have come out great The front suspension struts where looking a little marked too so off they came and where masked ready for shot blasting And then a quick lick of black satin And that brings me up to date. A bit of cleaning under the front arches, refit the brakes then bleed the system ready for April.

I must admit that having a shiny Corrado is one thing but i have enjoyed having a Corrado to use. '2 Litre Peter' has been the most enjoyable Corrado i have owned and without the worry of rain, dirt, parking, wheels, seat wear etc.. Here he is after over 3 months without a wash… I miss driving a corrado as a daily, so much so that I'm selling my golf daily and will be looking for something. Don't think I could let it go that long without a wash though!

You should just let me send you the money for the roof mouldings now!
-
Great work as usual Michael, those bonnet pins look superb, are the plastics new? Polishing the exhaust just shows your commitment to making the perfect corado. I like the steering wheel, is good to go against your original one and the not hello mats are a nice touch.

There was one on here and eBay recently

I'm waiting to watch the classic car programme from channel5 earlier
-
The other half has it on and Lucy Beale doesn't look very dead to me.
-
This has dropped in price a bit!
-
Will it be at shows this year?
-
What else you got planned after the paintwork? Are you going with the Schimmel cams again?
-
your doing the right thing, if your last one is anything to go by this will be lovely when your done.
-
Could you not have got paintless dent removal or are there too many? The standard drive is fantastic on them, far more comfy then coilovers.
-
Paintwork looks good as it is Daren, definitely keep us updated with bodyshop pics. Have you decided on modified or standard yet?
-
My guess is that Liam has bought it, his storm has sold and i'm sure it sounded like he wanted it. If I'm right, well done Liam, its an awesome Corrado.
-
It might be worth you dropping your price a bit, bearing in mind that I just bought 4 brand new solitudes from VW classic parts for £260.00 delivered.
-
These arrived from Germany today: Not exactly RS301's but BBS's all the same! Nothing really wrong with the ones on the car other then a couple of stone chips but shame not to get new ones after doing all the brakes.
-
Don't forget Jim, its 'Rare', that means you can put whatever price you want.
-
What about Elsecar?
-
If theres only 9 left, mine may be a fake..
-
How long you had the VR now Kip? I have some photos in an album upstairs from the early 2000's before your private plate on! Hopefully after Stanford you may change your mind about it.
