  1. Tights over the lights.. lol Saw that on Police Interceptors, maybe they did aswell and thought it a good idea. Good looking car, keep the updates coming
  2. Are these the driveshafts pictured? are they still available?
  3. I dont understand why this is now a fail, surely its a security device not a safety, in which case they should also be checking immobilisers, alarms and that the doors all lock.
  4. Not to bad unless you have a warning light on or fitted HIDs No metion of the tuning boxes that I heard are no longer allowed
  5. Very nice, will be watching with interest
  6. noooo, I take your ok, how bad is it?
  7. Lot of good time and effort there, you have to laugh at these people who build a car and have to find a way to get it out the house
  8. Looks like a good solid base, keep the pics coming of your work
  9. Bargain, good to see another rescued
  10. Hey Pete, aswell as TT/S3 they also fitted 312 to mk4s, late 1.8t, v6 4mo, v5, basically any with more than 170bhp is the the car your gonna fit with my wheels? the wheels on mine are 4x100
  11. That is an early bonnet on your car isnt it? I've been told you have to have a late bonnet to fit over that engine.
  12. If you want to stay 4x100 then G60 or 5x100 you could go 288 VR or 312 mk4
  13. Looking at the diagram for the A4 you'll be ok for most of the cluster inputs as there still analogue but the speedo and tacho may go over CAN from the engine ECU and ABS ECU, what engine you going to be running?
  14. Thought the spacing looks bigger, will have a look over the next couple of weeks when I do the front bushes.
  15. I know most use 288 from the vr or 312s from the mk4 but does anyone know if the calipers from a mk5 will bolt onto a 16v hub? I have a set in the garage after I upgraded my mk5 to 312s
  16. Liking what your doing, I'm thinking along the OEM+ for mine but theres a 20vT sat on the floor in front of it at the moment, Corrados look great when clean with just a set of wheels and a little lower
  17. Picked it up today, didn't have many details on it before I got just the pictures and the knowledge it ran and had T&T. Got a real good deal on it, I swapped it for a set of 17" mk5 golf GTI wheels that I had spare in the garage, so I wassn't that bothered on its condition. Initial thoughts after getting it home are it has slightly sloppy suspension, light steering and the throttle cable has stretched so you cant accelerate properly but for a 22yr old car with 176k mls it aint bad. The biggest surprise was when I looked through the owners folder and found Full service history.... next service is due in 3000mls. Tomorrow I'm gonna go over and under it just to see how good it is. For now I'm a very happy man.
  18. Havent been on here for some time but hopefully I'll be picking up another rado at the weekend, needs a little work but not too much. This will be my 3rd but I'll probably still have many questions.
  19. cool, thanks for the info
  20. Can someone tell me the size for an 89, 16v, non ABS master cylinder. The one I have looks like it says 22 or 23 but I'm not sure. Is it the same as a G60 MC ?
  21. nooooooooo .............. what you playing at fella  .. :) Had to do it. It was suffering from a case of bodge repair. It had had a front corner smash at some point and the inner wing had been pushed back resulting in large rust holes at the top of the A pillar, middle of A pillar/ bottom of screen and bottom of A pillar. Also the strength bar thing along top of wing should have 4 holes in !! The fourth on this had been fillered along with the creases in it, you can see the white circle in the middle where I removed some filler. The bulkhead had also gone rusty aswell as the chassis. Other than that it was a nice car..
