  1. Definitely a worthwhile conversion going down the MK4 route. My handbrake was just for decoration until i sorted the rear beam and all the brakes to Mk4 items..
  2. A mk2 feels a lot more nimble on its feet than a Corrado as they weigh next to nothing, 3 grand would get you a lot of Mk2 aswell...
  3. I have mate, ill message you on here when your back to check...
  4. Aye sounds good, ill drop you a line in a few days.. Am interested to know how youve come on with yours while ive been away...
  5. Cheers Charley, im down in Durham at the moment but most of the time ill be in Faslane now.. Hope to get down south later in the year and would be good to try and sort something for then..
  6. I bet your looking forward to the run to UD, dont think ill be present for that one but hope i get to see this and reserve a turn in the passenger seat when i do....
  7. There are a few of us, im down in Durham, james (CorradoVR6-nos) also lives in Durham. Rado Steve is down in Middlesbrough and there are few from Sunderland way.. If im in the area id meet up
  8. Shaun, that is awesome, looks phenominal and cant even imagine what its like to drive.. Its a go-er and a show-er, best example out there, you must be over the moon..
  9. You deserve it mate, that car is a beauty.. Congrats..
  10. Mate those rims look cracking, youve got a bit of a knack of knocking up some nice motors...
  11. Nice new motor, shame you let the Rado go but cant argue with the replacement.. Plans???
  12. Id heard the summer hadnt been the best but im no sun worshipper, im pleased just to see some weather.. The midget is great fun, lower than any corrado and it feels so fast even though its only a 1275, its good a lovely grunty soundtrack and everyone seems to grin at it when its going along the road, i dont think a ka is a fair swap... http://www.bizrate.co.uk/rd?t=http%3A%2 ... bid_type=0 This is the cover i went for with the upgrade as its a breathable waterproof job. Reckon its been worth the money as my car hasnt seen light of day for 4 months and i would have thought it had been in the garage...
  13. I think mine is lowered about 65mm on the back and around 60 on the front and its spot on for the wheel size..
  14. Thanks for all the welcome back people, much appreciated.. Spent a couple of hours today in the sun cleaning the old girl up, really wasnt too bad at all, intend on getting the wax in to play tomorrow so its back under the cover tonight.. Heres a couple of pics.. Also a couple of pics of my old mans MG Midget, hes just bought some new chrome spokes for it and they look great, weve been restoring it for a couple of years now although the body work was done when he bought it most other things have since been changed, tuned, painted etc etc..
  15. Just read the whole thread, brilliant stuff....
  16. Everytime i look at this thread youve done shed loads more work, good skills...
  17. Glad youve managed to get aorted with a decent engine, i know youve had some ups and downs with Zed but its good youve stuck with it.. Like the seats Nikki, alot...
  18. I am still after the BBSs, although if i could think of something else which would tick all the right boxes id go for them, i do love LMs but with the outbreak of fakes i wouldnt want to go down that route... If your hear of anything let me know Karl...
  19. If i ever needed a reminder of how much i love my car i got it thisafternoon.. She started up first time and i took it out for a 25 miles or so blast and it was awesome, the noise, speed, looks it gets everything was just great.. Have booked it into VW for a service on Monday, had a look at thew Rocco while i was there and its nice, id still rather have my Corrado though... Slightly bigger picture plans are get her all nicely cleaned back up although it isnt bad at all. The car cover has done a great job, a few cob webs and dust otherwise perfect, no dampness or marks, so chuffed the discs havent even corroded as the cover comes all the way down to the bottom of the rims.. Over christmas the R32 lump will be getting the full cleaning treatment, i want it forecourt clean before itll be going in in the new year.. Eyes are peeled for some wheels as of now..
  20. Shame to sell this Chris after the hard work thats gone in.. Wheels going with the car???

  22. Nice progress, brakes look great.. Gonna be a beauty when shes all done..
  23. I was hoping that next summer would be clear to attend things but its not looking promising at the moment, hope i will catch E38 2009 though - that sounds a long way away but im sure it will be here soon.. All being well plans for the car stand and will be taking shape later in the year and early in the new year..
  24. Bargain Fay, i wish things like this would pop up for me...
