I think they have a rating on the sensor you'll have to take it off though
-
The one at the back is the mfa dash cluster oil temp sensor the one on the front left is the high pressure oil sensor. The large one on the right is a dual pole sender for the low pressure oil sensor and the bar sensor for the centre console dials

Pro-active engine refurbishment/rebuild - costs at a garage?
Jon_vr6 replied to Portent's topic in Engine Bay
Yep got mine rebuilt at stealth mine took a while because my original block was bored out for the oversized pistons but there was still damage to the walls so one 2.8 spare block was stripped down but that was deemed unusable so another 2.8 was stripped down and sent to the borers. Took around 3 months total but I knew it was in the best hands Vince and the lads are top blokes -
Any news on this mate could do with doing mine soon?
-
Thats cool mate im sure you know what your doing.

Nice find, be careful using hammerite on the brake pipes just replace them heard too many stories of brakelines just giving up and your left with no brake pedal
-

Just thought id bump this thread well after re greasing the tubes last year and it all running smoothly it started going up in stages again, so after reading threads it suggested that the thermoswitch (green thing) in the motor was the problem. Rather than arsing around stripping the motor down i bought a brand new one off vw classic parts but it all back together and works a dream now, no motor noises just smooth as silk -
