  1. Ha ha no matter how many things get ticked off the 'done' list it always seems to increase with more 'wanted's' ;) lol
  2. you know we all love to see pics corozin!!! ;)
  3. No probs, always happy to share & help :) replacing all running gear is in my top 3 'completed tasks' on my rado as the difference is so much better on lots of levels other 2 being the KW's & a kur2y uprated headlight loom from here......though it might need to go to a top 4 as ive just ordered a short shifter off daves16v & from what ive read on here they are meant to be peachy :D
  4. I went with OE for all the running gear :)
  5. Thanks for the detailed post John! Very interesting & a good read :)
  6. Welcome! as james mentions KW coilovers are popular on here, ive got V 1's myself & they are fantastic......though if i was to order them again i think i would ask them for a slightly softer spring rate. in terms of general handling you will see great returns by renewing the running gear. I finished the rounds on mine last summer & you get a great deal of 'cushioning' back with new rear beam bushes, front wishbone bushes etc. This then really makes the spend on the suspension shine as the response is crisp & precise :D good luck with the exhaust hunting tho! i would be keen to hear any of your findings as it is something im currently looking into & if you want a full manifold back system with high flo cat the options seem limited. ive kinda narrowed it down to between powerflow, longlife & vortex......though the latter is coming in at £1100!! I hope your storm turns out to be what you expected & wanted when it turns up & yup pics & daft questions are welcomed here
  7. Hi Dave I think it is long overdue that i invested in another of your mods :D Ive dropped you a PM & would be grateful if you could please let me know how to proceed. Many thanks
  8. hello there try this thread for a starter..... http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=61985&highlight=short+shift daves16V kit comes highly recommended ;)
  9. Just a small question.....but why did you remove the VR specific magnex system? was it faulty? Im unsure for certain but i would have thought an exhaust should be properly matched to the engine it is fitted to :s
  10. The bloke i brought my VR6 off had a thing about lancia's - he had several fulvia's in various states but also a mint Stratos in the garage. It was red with gold wheels & the black trim thingy that goes over the roof line I still regret not asking him to take me for a spin in it but i was that focused on picking up my VR it didnt cross my mind lol
  11. Hi Jim Price all depends on the level of quality finish you are looking for. preparation of the panels & a thoroughly clean spray booth are essential!!! I say the latter as i trusted the last body shop i used but 18 months after having them take my bonnet back to metal & respray i have lots of 'bumps' which have risen to the surface which means either their booth cant have been spotless or they didnt wipe the panel properly clean before spraying. Plus they didnt wet & dry the lacquer after spraying to the finish i wanted as in some lights you can see the orange peel effect It is worth asking to look at their booth & bodyshop etc & also previous work. in terms of what you want doing, yes it is possible but it all depends on the skill & paint matching of the staff. in essence i think you want a respray with exception of the roof - similar to myself.......i had both sides (up to the roof rail), bonnet & tail gate under the spoiler done. Thus what you have mentioned should be feasible :) i hope this helps
  12. welcome :) my 1st rado was a white 1.8 16v - wish id kept it to this day lol
  13. Thanks Jim & Kev - always appreciate your input :D & kev you crack me up once again lol

  15. which glue did you use to hold the new stuff on jim? & any recommendations or hints about how you removed your old stuff......im hoping to do mine in the next few weeks :)
  16. nail on the head there Tom Rhetro - i purchased the kits for both sides from daves16v last year. it fixed my drivers handle & im ready for when the passenger goes too cheap & easy & helps you retain your original keys! daves16v kit comes highly recommended :D
  17. always nice to welcome new members :) there are lots of helpful people here & we like pictures in return ;) lol
  18. Oh, thats not the clips i had in mind....sorry Byrd i thought you meant the ones that just slide into the door card & then fasten into the appropriate hole on the body
