The time has finally arrived!!! Confirmation of date booked with Stealth for my VR to go there for some head work & lots of shiny new parts :D Excited doesnt feel a strong enough word but i thought id share it with fellow rado lovers lol

i have ran the below for over a year now.......along with an upgraded headlights loom from KUR2Y on here & the difference to standard is, well, night & day PMSL http://www.ringautomotive.co.uk/uk/products/Cars/Bulbs/Performance+Bulbs/RW1272

Indeed VR6, thats a mighty BIG assumption though ;) lol
-
it is possible to replace both headlights bulbs without removing the light itself passenger side is fairly easy, though on both sides it is always a little tricky getting the bulb clips back on drivers side is also fairly easy if you take a couple of mins to disconnect & remove the airbox finally, daylight definitely helps!!! ;)

you sir are an absolute gentleman!!! thank you kindly from those of us without discovery channel :D

Tidy thanks matt!!

lots of arse today indeed, seems better in the past half hour tho it used to be much more bareable staring at the peach rather than a bunch of pixelated pixels :( lol

good idea about the ECU. fingers crossed they dont actually try to get into the car. many years ago in manchester, on an old car on the drive, i had some idiots try to bend the top of my passenger door out so they could pull the door pin up....needless to say they just f***ed it up :( but the cops caught them running off & told me they would give them similar treatment as my car on their way to the station lol if its ok ben i will chat with the gf, as the items will be for her rado not mine, & drop you a message to arrange a convenient time for us all :) thanks in advance!

Hello Mark There is lots & lots of info on this forum & IIRC there is also a buyers guide in the wiki ;)

if you have an old key you might be able to split the plastic apart & remove the coded chip so as to put in the newly cut key ;) i found this out when i changed my ignition barrel 2 years ago - when i ordered it VW assured me the keys werent coded but they definitley are

Indeed, discovery shed IIRC thanks jon_vr6 - i thought id check the discovery website & ...... http://www.discoveryuk.com/web/fifth-gear/episode-guide-new-series/ series starts Sept 19th at 9PM but i cant figure if the rado's will be in..... episode 2...... 'Jonny reveals his petrolhead investments – three classic cars that you should buy now to make a profit in the future.' or episode 4...... 'And Jason reveals three incredible value sports cars that can be bought for just £5,000' :D

I had a similar conversation with the same person Jim, as we already know ;) lol I checked the fifth gear site to see if there were any schedule listings for this episode but drew a blank......has anyone got any ideas how we find out when it will be aired? jon_vr6 - that video was taken outside of volkswizard's unit......i remember it from when the gf picked up her storm from there ;)
-
Im not sure then Jim Might be worth giving KW a call for a chat
-
Jim - what is the feel of the dampen & return like when you push a front corner down? Does it feel any different to the rears? I noticed a small oil smear on top of my KW's several months after having them so i spoke to KW - they said that a small residue is normal as the piston which moves is slightly lubricated & as such can produce said oily smear on top of the strut. IIRC KW said that they are gas dampers, rather than traditional oil or similar filled dampers, & thus if there was a leak they would loose most if not all of their damping effect also, have you spoken to KW as their US site states...... 'How much warranty do I have on my KW’s? All KW street suspension comes with a limited lifetime warranty against any manufacturing defect' Hope this helps

welcome & good luck Id love to have another rado to strip to essentials only!
