  1. You can use something like this if masking tape is a no go http://www.wonderlandmodels.com/products/humbrol-maskol-masking-fluid-28ml/
  2. Rofl not a surprise seeing how much time my car has spent off the road in the last 24 months.
  3. Seeing as I'm not that far away from you what was said Mong driving, just in case he mistakes me for you :)
  4. I no longer have a use for these as I no longer have a 16v and I just seem to be moving them out of the way and from shed to garage:) Donate a few quid to the forum and they are yours otherwise they may end up in the nearest landfill. Can post at your cost or welcome to collect. ** for some reason I can't add images ?? ** basically 1 x 42mm upper manifold with throttle body still attached. 1 x 50mm upper manifold. 1 x 42mm lower with injectors still attached.
  5. I'm in for a couple of sets as they look the same as a mk2 golf's as well. Any chance of a deal for the top ones I think you do as well Dave?*
  6. Looks like these are now available from http://www.vw-classicparts.de/ as I have just ordered one via VW Heritage using part number C535-837-911/A (looks like it right).
  7. I'll be up for a couple of sets as well please - I have some originals stashed in a safe place but I'm buggered if I can find them :(
  8. I think Yela Snowman has the fastest at 1.27.296 but don't quote me on that.
  9. Well she passed in flying colours with zero advisories - yay  Just need some road tax and a full tank of petrol and I will finally be able to test out the Schrick manifold fitted over winter for the first time.
  10. Well after spending most of last year and this year locked away in the garage following my house move and over such things that tend to get in the way the old girl is off for an MOT tomorrow morning - Fingers crossed that the ABS is sorted now and nothing else is lurking under that bonnet
  11. Join up to the club & get lapping, some quick drivers in there
  12. Looking good - don't know why they bothered with the other Corrado colours :)
  13. If the car is movable I would go and chance your arm at a friendly tyre fitters and see if they can get a windy gun on it.
  14. Maybe not VW but a fair few of us use parts from these chaps: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-GOLF-MK3-VR6-MK4-TDI-TURBO-CORRADO-REAR-ABS-RING-C509-/190685920381?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2c65c43c7d Service and parts are top notch IMHO.
  15. Pretty sure it was a 16mm I used to do exactly the same task. When I bought mine I purchased these as well http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/5-piece-bolt-grip-set-expansion-set?da=1&TC=SRC-irwin+bolt. You never know when you need them when you own a Corrado :)
  16. Think I'll put some genuine Corrado bandaids on ebay later :)
  17. Must be spring as I spotted my first Rado of the year in Stanwell Village this morning - White one not sure of the flavour as it was behind me.
  18. I used the instructions half way down http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?57974-ABS-pump-bleed-procedure-with-VAG-COM&highlight=abs+bleeding
  19. I reckon you are probably right with the lack of usage point Kev. Car hasn't been used since July last year but the fluid is fresh following a mk4 caliper upgrade and subsequent re-bleeds in recent weeks. I followed one of the guides on here to do the last bleeding session which included the master and 2x ABS nipples.
  20. Cheers Harrier I will give them a call in the morning. Are they someone you have used?
  21. My VR6 has flashed warning lights about its ABS ever since I have owned it and after switching all of the wheel sensors it went away. The car has been reasonably stationary since last July following a house move and I have only just got to the point of being able to sort out it's niggles and get it ready for a MOT. Unfortunately even though I have pressure bled the whole braking system twice, checked the wiring and even tried getting the ABS to trigger by slamming on the brakes I keep seeing the error: 00280 - Differential Lock Valve 2 (N126) in VAG COM. I have now convinced myself that it's the valve clogged up in the ABS pump and as such wondered if anyone has ever stripped one of these down and rebuilt it with new seals etc?? Failing that is there anyone out there that offers the service? I have two spare 2nd hand ones sitting on the shelf waiting to be done.
  22. Finally braved the cold cold garage and finished fitting my Schrick manifold, all plumbed in and the old girl started first time  Now to tidy up and put it all back together for this years MOT:dance:
  23. Cheers NRC, I reckon it's time for a vist to Specsavers as I have been staring at that pipe all day and hadn't noticed those take offs at all. Just popped back out to the Garage and spotted them straight away !!
  24. Evening all, having spent most of today scraping my knuckles fitting a Schrick manifold I have come to the point of connecting up the vacuum unit to a feed supply. Now the instructions from Schrick and other online sources state that you should be able to tap into the ABS booster hose? Now before I start slashing and hacking at the wrong hose does anyone have an image of what I should be looking for or is there a better place to take a vacuum feed from?
