  1. Just had another re measure (measure twice, cut once) and decided it's actually a JIC 10, bit the bullet and ordered the proper mocal fittings from Demon Tweaks. Hopefully be here soon. Cheers for all your help Rog.
  2. Cheers mate, it's push fit, I think the jubilee is just a back up, I just removed the fitting and it was a pig to get off, ended up cutting a slit in the pipe. So these should do the job then?? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AN-8-AN8-BLACK-JIC-90-Degree-Swivel-PUSH-ON-BARB-Tail-Braided-Hose-Fitting-/370900057928?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item565b5dbf48 Rog.
  3. Evening chaps, I've got a bit of a problem with a mocal oil cooler. Basically my Corrado has an after market 13 row cooler fitted and it's got a slight leak, as luck would have it I've got a 19 row cooler sat in the garage gathering dusk.... so simply remove bumper and replace one for the other.. However... slight problem.... they have different fittings... Old cooler.. New cooler.. Hose connection.. So what are my options??? I'm thinking either an adapter or new hose fittings... Rog.
  4. Just an idea but why not move the AGM a few weeks and have it at the national day, that way there would be a good turn out of club members. Rog.
  5. FIXED.... I got the books out and had a good look at the circuit diagram, after a bit of head scratching I realised that the ign circuit was being fed when the light switch was on via the dimmer so I removed fuse 3 and the fault disappeared, thus something that is fed by fuse 3 and is also fed by the ign supply is shorting making the light circuit live when the ign key is turned. It was just a case of finding out what... heated seat switch check out ok, next was the rear window demist... bingo.. fault disappears when the switch is removed... however does not reappear when the switch is replaced..mmm.. looks like it's repaired itself...lol.. probably a short in the switch and the act of removing it has fixed it... I'll get a replacement switch anyway but lets just say I'm very happy... Rog.
  6. Popped up to the Devon Dub Shack today to get a relay. Must say I was very impressed, Dan the guy that owns it is a genuinely friendly bloke and is very knowledgable. I noticed he was breaking a grey Corrado, might be worth dropping him an email if anyone needs any bits. Two thumbs good from me. Rog.
  7. Popped up to Devon Dub Shack today and picked up a replacement 18 relay, no change.. :( Any other ideas chaps? I'm thinking it must be a problem somewhere where the ignition and lighting circuits meet, likely suspects I'm thinking of are light switch (already removed, no change), ignition switch, indicator stalk, radio and maybe the heater controls, plan is to disconnect each in turn and see what happens. If anyone has any other ideas do please tell. Rog.
  8. Another thumbs up for Halfords pro, I've had my big socket set for over 10 years and the only bit I've broke is the 2pz pozi bit which Halfords swapped for a new one with no hassle. I work in a train depot and when we got ratchet spanners they were from Halfords, I don't think any of us have had a failure and we give them some serious abuse. Rog.
  9. Very nice, I'm liking the black wheels with the green... Works well IMHO. Rog.
  10. Cheers Jon. I've just removed the 'X' relay (no 18, position 4) and the instrument lights are not coming on with the ignition so thats good however the fan now wont work unless the lights are on, replace the relay and it's back to same problems. I'm thinking the 'X' relay could be my problem, I'll get a new one and take it from there, what's the bast place to get one?? Rog.
  11. Ok, this gets weirder and weirder..... If I turn the lights on with the ignition off the fan blower comes on and I can control the speed of the blower using the lights dimmer... I've disconnected the light switch and the instrument lights coming on with ignition problem is the same so I'm thinking it's not the switch. Anyone have any ideas?? Rog.
  12. Nope but the number plate light is on and I can turn the fog lights on.... Weird.... Rog.
  13. Good evening all. Bit of a strange problem this, my instrument lighs (including my oil and volt gauges) and on all the time the ignition is on, also the dimmer no longer works, the lights stay at full brightness. Anyone have an idea what could be wrong? Many thanks Rog.
  14. Reg shows it as a R32, maybe it is the bargain of the year, my mate has a four door R and for some reason seems to think his seats are recaro, I guess not everyone is up to speed on specs. Personally I think it probably clocked with star ship mileage or the price is wrong. Rog.
  15. Pair for me please. Just like to say thanks for your effort mate. Rog.
  16. 50, all you get on MFA at anything below that temp is 3 dashes. Rog.
  17. Have a look at this mate. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=84590 May have some of the info you need. Rog.
  18. Afternoon chums, My Corrado's windscreen has loads of tiny scratches on it from 18 years of wiper use, normally you can't see them but at night the little scratches show up and are worse in the rain. I've seen similar scratches on bodywork polished out, now I realise glass is is a very different substance to bodywork paint but I was wondering if it's possible to polish out glass scratches. Anyone know if this is possible and if anyone offers this service. Many thanks Rog.
  19. Yes yes and yes... Awesome... As long as the boss says yes I'll be there. Rog.
  20. Welcome mate, I'm a newbie as well, only had my VR since October. Good bunch of lads on here, very helpful. Whereabouts in the country are you? Rog.

  23. I've got a Halfords one I bought years ago, still going strong and holds it's charge no problem, Mine has an inverter with a 240 socket, I've used it on camping meets to power a fluorescent lamp then charged the battery pack via my cig lighter socket whilst out driving, really handy bit of kit. Rog.
  24. I can't find anything mate, can you link one or tell what to search for please. Cheers Rog. EDIT... Just found one, £1.65 with free delivery... Bargain.. Cheers mate.
