    Indicator Fault!!

Probably thermostat. They usually get stuck in the open position, so water is constantly being cooled by the Rad. (Corrados use a heater matrix connected to the coolant system). If it gets warmer when sat idling, but cools down when driving, I reckon thats your problem. What engine do you have? Reason I ask is that the older types (I think its just older types) have bypass valves on the hoses to the matrix. This is to stop excess pressure blowing the matrix, which will scold your feet and fill the car with steam. VW actually recalled them to modify the bypass valves iirc. They also get stuck in the bypass position especially if the matrix is original and a bit clogged, thus creating back pressure. Or its just the matrix itself, in which case good luck with that! You can check if your thermostat is functioning correctly if you touch the bottom radiator hose. It should be cold all the way up from starting until temperature reads 87 degrees, at which point it opens to allow circulation to the rad for cooling. Do a search, theres plenty of info as its asked quite frequently.

    Indicator Fault!!

Indicators will flash fast when one is out. First off you need to make sure you have a good connection to the bulb itself. As they're spring contacts (little metal strip to the back of the bulb), over time they loose their tension on the bulb and don't make sufficient contact. A small screwdriver to pull it out a touch more has worked for me on a number of occasions. Next step is to check you have voltage to the connection. Its then a case of tracing the wiring back to see where the fault lies mate.
  3. Jammy sod! Wish I could afford a shrick. :(
  4. Sorry to keep adding to this Leon, can I have a drivers side window regulator too please. Mine is very slow going up this morning! And to be clear about the door handle, I mean the outer one. Cheers mate!
  5. I've made a cock up Leon! I need the top door car trim not the scraper seal, sorry! If the other guy doesn't take them, I'll have the pair please mate. I still want the passenger handle though. Thanks mate.
  6. Not sure if you're aware Matt, but one of your HT leads is hanging off...............:ignore::lol:
  7. I'll have the passenger door handle and scraper seal please!! Can you post? if so, PM me details please buddy

  9. Possibly!! Or possibly not.................
  10. My rear one is colour coded. Wish it was the grille instead though as a Storm should be.
  11. Relays will get warm. There's only a small voltage going to them to "energise" them but holding current is very small. Remember its a magnetic field holding it on, and heat will naturally occur and is an accepted energy loss. It shouldn't get too hot to touch though.
  12. Haha, saw the picture yet still didn't twig! :bonk: Very good example there mate!!
  13. Looks a very nice example there Rog, nice find!
  14. Are they aftermarket droplinks? I bought a set a while back from ecp and they are not quite the same as originals. The original had a step to the side where the bar attaches to the loop on the droplink, but the aftermarket ones were straight up and were like yours but not quite as extreme as that.
  15. It'll either be the seal around the glass, in which case your best option is to remove the glass, clean it all up and use your black silicon. Other than that its just the seal on the twist plug where the bulb goes in. Nothing else it can be tbh if the glass and the casing are intact.
  16. I don't think there will be a problem actually driving it. Seat slides back a fair bit so leg room won't be an issue, and there is a good amount of headroom too. Its the getting in and out that may be a bit of a pain as they are quite low to the ground!
  17. That brigade exists with VDubs too, but again thankfully due to the quirky nature of the Corrado, and the fact most think their Giro won't cover insurance costs AND their wacky bacci & bottle of Cider for the w.end, there aren't very many within the Corrado scene.
  18. That's what most seem to forget. Yeah it had its hayday in the late 90s, and those above are very accurate. It WAS one of the best handling fwd cars at the time, but not any more. There is no way anyone could expect it to be on par with modern sport coupes or even hatches. As said, look at the mk1 GTI and its handling and performance were raved about the world over for a hatchback, yet its pretty poor in comparison to sporty hatches now. Times change, but the timeless look of the Corrado is what drove me to buy one as I think it really does turn heads with a few light mods. Handling and Power are still reasonable in comparison to today, but refinement is not. Its a niche car adored by small few so will never be a true classic, but those of a certain "vintage" appreciate WHAT a car it really is.
  19. Longer bolts and later gasket for you mate. The early gasket is a fibre one and thinner, the later gasket is rubber and thicker so requires the longer bolts.
  20. Anyone know if the looped securing strap things for the airbox are still available? One of mine has snapped.
  21. Got to be wheels. A nice set of rims really transform a car and make it so much more appealing!
  22. A lot of people now run 195s anyway as the 205s are becoming increasingly scarce, and as a result are much more expensive!

    Panels needed

Pretty sure they are available through classic parts Sam. Same as mk2 Golf iirc mate.
  24. Some pics of these on for those that may be interested. http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=79984&p=989111&viewfull=1#post989111 http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=79984&p=989668&viewfull=1#post989668
