If you use the key in the door does it open the other locks, I believe that is what the lead was for... (Mine's disconnected btw)...

Rrrrr..... Yes ... er no.... erm.... now I'm confused. I've no idea how much it would fetch tbh, probably depend on how quickly I would need to sell it if ever I did. A lot more if I was prepared to wait and didn't need the monies, probably a lot less if I needed the cash desperately. It IS insured for £10k though. RR = Rolling Road.

I just LOVE the 40k quotes though ;)

Walesy, no offence taken - as you say "each to their own"... I personally hate cream leather :) My main reasoning for buying the Campaign was a simple case of "it was there, and I could..." I didn't go looking for a Campaign as I was perfectly happy with my G60 at the time, but it came up and I thought it would be rude not to :) I was given first refusal from a CCGB member during my tenure as magazine editor. Out of respect, I'm not going to divulge how much I paid.

I am serious - and don't call me Shirley ;) She KNOWS what it is, and wouldn't part with it last time I heard. The lady in question is nice enough, just not interested in "VW scene". She likes her car for what it is (fair play to her!) As to not driving it, well my C comes out in the summer months only as I want it to STAY special for many years to come. Unless you're prepared to put in a LOT of cleaning, cars that are used every day do not generally stay special for very long (3 or 4 years say). Also, I like to keep the mileage down (only just over 70k on my Campaign). Finally, as to value - well - you really can't put a price on a Campaign. I know how much me and Rob paid for ours, and they were both "realistic" sums for what we were buying...

Yeah, I know about that one - still can't find the mythical fifth one though :(

Anybody got the Solitudes with BBS and VR6 Stamped on the spokes though as seen on the original press photos?

My wife had a similar situation that arose 18 months after the incident in which she was involved... their witness turned out to be his wife, and he changed his story completely from when he the accident occured to when he filed the claim (he said she was reversing out of the drive, but he hit her front wing (go figure!)) The insurance company just told him to get lost basically, and dealt with it all her for. (Slightly off on a tangent, but the girl who we spoke to at the insurance company which was down on the south coast I used to go to school with and lived 5 doors away when she lived up here in Leicestershire...!)

A couple of questions for you, how old is the Clio? And when were the plates fitted?
-
The 1.8T is quite sprightly on it's own. My 150bhp came out with 167bhp at the RR day in Nov, and, although not hugely fast, is good enough to spin the wheels in third, and get me out of trouble at roundabouts etc. Quite economical too, I get around 30-35 mpg out of the beast.

Is my Passat in there?

Interestingly this topic came onto my "radar" just above the following topic... Erm... just crashed

Campaign's are Pruple (at least according to my MOT place)...

no central console jsut the rear arm rest is up except that its in a different colour leather and dash been done there is no difference to any other corrado leather recaro interior. But got to admit it does have corrado stampted into them which is cool I think he meant the tissues in the centre column on the dash bit in front of the gearknob... I believe (though I've never seen one) that there were some german G60s with similar seats (although without the headrests), and definitely not the dash done.
-
I always feel a bit guilty though, as none of it is my own work (apart from the tissues ;) )

Ladeeez and gen'lmen - the daddies...
