  1. :remembers: Step forward Mr Mike E... :/remembers: back to 1 again nowadays :)
  2. Can I just point out that it costs at least 21p per PayPal transaction, so paying in 50p is a bit potty if you ask me. I'll bung in a fiver if I could have a copy of the file on CD sent to me :) (Or just brought along to the RR day...)
  3. Had this one for erm... scratches head... 3 1/2 years.. but just over 9 years of C ownership (2 G60s previously) And like RW1 - not the longest in the fleet. And like his, mine's a Rocco which I've had now for... (scratches head again) just over 13 years now.... Had a Rocco in the fleet now for nearly 20 years  (That's scarey now I come to think of it...)
  4. Wouldn't mind the dials, but they wouldn't work as probably only 4-cyl :(
  5. I wonder how well a Raddo would do in an NCAP test ... ?
  6. Looking to swap my Passat 1.8T for a Toledo Mk2 V5, as the spec is FAR higher, cost about the same, better economy from the Seat, just not quite as much room.
  7. I would recommend a Seat Toledo myself, a "mint" Mk1 can be had for not much more than £1500, and a corker of a Mk2 V5 I have seen for less than £3k
  8. Nah, that's what the lump hammer's for ;)
  9. Two tools required for Land Rover maintenance - WD40 and Duct Tape ... Although a large lump hammer comes in useful sometimes.

    8)
  11. Anybody in the midlands capable of taking two S3 seats and making them into office chairs.... ? Just a thought, I have two S3 seats lying around at the shop that I paid about £200 for, but have no use for as I haven't a car they'll fit into nicely. Seems a shame to let them go to waste... Or is somebody willing to take them off my hands for Corrado seats? They are leather, with blue alcantera middle bits... I think they're out of an S3 anyroad...
  12. Now THERE's dedication :) Well done that man!
  13. ... don't ask ... :D  Agreed value - classic policy with Carole Nash - bit late now I know...
  14. Although my Rocco is off the road it is still insured, but I use a classic policy, so it only costs about £120 per year, similar with the Corrado when that's off the road. Indeed, what they are saying is that provided it is declared SORN you don't technically need insurance. You can tax a car if it is SORN'd, and you haven't got the SORN form back yet, but it is a bit of a complicated procedure.
  15. But they couldn't stop 'em from blowing up :)
  16. Interesting article in the Petrol/Diesel debate... Sunday Times
  17. Was the Rocco in the top 10 golf based cars?
  18. I would never describe our Leslie as being "C***" ;) I was thinking more of "Cad", "loveable Leslie" "Buffoon", etc. etc.
  19. Poor comparison then, you really want... But I get it now ;) (You ain't nobody until you've been in this thread :))
  20. He didn't even REACH the bit where the Golf get's sideways though, he takes the corner far too wide...
  21. In other words - the first pic's crap and doesn't give any clue to what you are talking about ;)
  22. From memory, the Corrado VR6 came in at number 9, but I'll have to dig out the article again...
