Howdy folks. Need an early G60 rear axle beam ASAP - the better condition the better, if it's got new bushes in it already i'll kiss you. Located in Yorkshire but happy to travel or arrange courier.
-
Edit, didn't see it was a VR6 one.

TSW Imolas are the closest so far. The centre is different, but the spokes and the edge look spot on...
-
They're definately close, but the ones on the ebay car look much more OEM than that. Size looks about right - what size are they?
-
They look close but the OZ Supertourismo have got a lip/step around the edge, those look flat...

Howdy folks - doing my daily lunchtime ebay search of corrado things and stumbled accross this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLKSWAGEN-CORRADO-16V-/262312667877?hash=item3d130daae5:g:vbMAAOSwG-1W1C4h I need those wheels. They're bloody gorgeous genuine looking multi spokes in 4x100. Any clues as to the name of them?

Got the front wishbones with new bushes (R32/TT rears!) fitted this weekend, after much cursing and gnashing of teeth. Attempted to change the cambelt and waterpump too but of course the alternator and G-lader need to be removed to do that and I don't have an electric impact gun :(

If you've a 16vG60 engine to swap it with john you can have mine complete as a straight swap, I'll even drive down to you with it! :D failing that (who'd pass up that offer!) http://theengineshop.info/ might be worth a phone as they do refurbed engines - aware you're just after a block but in a pinch might be worth a look.

http://www.parts-catalogs.info/ is a good one too - I use it at work sometimes to look up obscure stuff for Skodas or Seats.

Great to see more progress on this, John! What were the specs of the 8v PG evolutions? I'd be interested in getting some more power out of mine ;) -
Cheers for that Ian, posted and out to you! Sorry, can't get leather dealer keyrings :(

Howdy folks, started up an Ebay store for the odds and ends we've got on stock, and need some sales to get the reputation up! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231820935450?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231820940275?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649 Cheers, Dave

Took the wishbones off last weekend, got new R32/TT rear bushes pressed in at work this week, then putting them back on the car this afternoon, and swapping the wing that gives Rusty it's name for one i've rattle-canned! Might try to swap out the thermostat while it's up on axlestands too.

Sadly they're now obsolete, looks like Goldfinger may have had the last ones!

Door handle repair kit..........THEY ARE NOW AVAILABLE
Thursdave replied to daves16v's topic in Suppliers Forum
.... Are you kidding me? I've been trying to get that bolt out since I bought my G60, mainly cause the circlip that holds the lock barrel in snapped, so the whole barrel comes away with the key. You're telling me i've been TIGHTENING it all this time!? GOD! -
Available at any good VW garage, think i've still got some bolts in stock from last person that ordered some!
-
is it a genuine arduino board you've got? does the code compile properly?
-
No experience with C++ but I've dabbled with the odd arduino project. What are you struggling with?
-
98% of new VW's still have glass lenses on the fog lamps. Headlamps are almost entirely plastic/perspex/acrylic now, but for some reason fog's are still glass.

part numbers: 1H0-501-544 and 1H0-501-543-A

Calipers will be in the same place no matter what pad thickness, as they're self adjusting. What recent work have you had done?
-
Yeah, it would be nice to build into a known good body shell, really take my time on it. However, I'm attempting to make it back to the Nurburgring in April, and so time is not on my side. Just had message back from the seller and it's got ABS too, which would mean swapping my existing loom over also, as i've not got ABS. Someone should buy it, store it, then sell it to me in a year and a half! :D
-
Didn't realise the engine assembly would be that simple, tbh... It's tempting but at the same time it's something I'd rather attempt with a paved driveway and proper garage, which hopefully i'll have this time next year!
-
Hmm. sounds like it's possible but probably not something to undertake over the winter! I'll let this one pass for the moment, but someone else might appreciate it, ebay item number is: 391350932518

Howdy folks. Spotted a corrado shell on Ebay which would be ideal for my '91 G60 - no rust, limited dings, and looks to be in very good nick. It's not a rolling shell, sadly, but i'm happy enough moving the interior etc over. However, where I live atm doesn't have any cover, and although I work at a garage it's not likely they'd let me jam up two ramps for a week or so while I change it all over. Is changing engine/gearbox front subframe and suspension something that it would be advisable to do on my own (with mates help) on my driveway? Or should I ask one of you lovely people if anybody has the mechanical know how and capability to do it! Cheers, Dave
