Heh, nice one on the top 200, some of my festival events would be inside the top 100 without the weird lap time bug. Although the lotus 2-11 gives me my best times usually!
-
Oh and can someone please buy the only thing on my storefront as that is the last unlock I need to complete all the achievements!
-
Phil, pad right now. Prior to a mad dash down south for family reasons I was working towards getting myself up the leaderboards, in the overall top 500 now for the festival events and my best time is in the top 100 which I am pretty chuffed with. The F40 is very good through corners and can hold onto huge amounts speed hence my pull away, I tend not to use the brakes on the tunnel run event. As for the festival events the bloody vibration puts me off when the planes etc come over your head. Swiftkid was in the process of kicking my arse on the speed cameras though!

Better off asking on VW Vortex in the US for one of those, one from an auto will do the job and there are a lot more them overthere.

Nice read, although he was lucky not having anything break!!

The G60 clocks are using the 16v wiring loom hence the indicator issue as you only have a single indicator warning lamp on the pre digital odometer clocks. Speedo, you can retrofit the speed pickup to the gearbox, you will need the sensor only IIRC but you will need to run the wiring to the clocks plug to get it to work.

Nice, about time something in early trim was produced!
-
John, You can get them new from VW still, its a classic parts item, part number 191 201 075 D, yours for around 300 Euros..
-
Oh I know what one is, just very unusual to see one with its original alloys etc.
-
Nice to see a TT machine still in the wild, how low does the Corrado look parked up between that Polo and Golf!

Jetex filter was only optional as an aftermarket item and they don't make them anymore. Seal is available from the VW dealer network as per the wiki article (part number is on the wiki to make it really easy). As other folks have mentioned a 'ghetto' mod involving some sort of filter element (coffee filter paper, cooker hood etc) will do the job of keeping the bits of leaves etc out of your heater system - a bit of that and a rubber band should do the trick. I will say that you do get a noticably reduced amount of airflow coming through the heating system with the jetex filter as it is very thick - the thinner the better if you are not afflicted by pollen.

Brilliant weekend made the 1000+ mile round trip worthwhile! I really need to take photos on the Thursday evening when it's much quieter as it's a pain over the weekend with all the people in the way. Great to catch up with folk, many for the first time this year. -

No, it does need paint and some rear beam bushes but apart from that.. Somewhat typically I got a text from the new owner last night 'Went to drive it home and there was a sound of something failing inside the door and now it won't open from the outside' Typical, never had any issues with a door handle before and that one was replaced at around 50k with a brand new VAG item. I have already referred him to Dave on here for a repair kit. -

I don't think so, although he does own a few cars including a yellow Lotus Europa so he is also a self confessed yellow car nutter! I do still have my Schabak nugget G60 so I guess that helps! I do still have the 'blue one' and there is no plan to move that on to a new owner, just that VR6 to finish off and move on now. -

Pages being redirected to some other website...?

I have also had the same issue over the last few days, Win 7 64 bit all updates applied etc. Main site is ok but I normally click the 'new posts' button next and then its off to an ad site of rubbish. -
Looks like Spoonfed don't do the early style OEM panel in green but with the temp control in blue/red gradient anymore, shame as I would have liked that option to bring the dash up to a more modern style without being noticable during normal daily use.

So I was thinking I might do this to my Corrado...

Just because you can do something does not mean you should do something. -
Likewise for the Mass Effect series, although the end was a bit pump but it was always going to be very difficult to follow the highs and lows of the 2nd game. Friend of mine was a die hard GT fan and I showed him FM 3 when it came out - xbox purchased quickly and despite his PS fanboy status he quickly acknowledges that FM 3 is better and 4 is another step in the right direction.

PMSL, 'That's no moon..' Not overly happy as Disney sit right up there in my list of evil companies in the World, Avengers Assembly was already well underway prior to Disney getting their teeth into Marvel so that's not exactly a good yard stick. Although given Lucas' recent habit of ruining the purity and edge of the original Trilogy and the hash he made with the dialogue in the most recent 3 maybe someone like Wheedon or Singer would do a far better job.
