  1. Do BBS RSII come in 17s? I always thought they started around 18'? Im looking for 16' BBS split rims RC/RX design I take it these DTMs are fake splits?

    Ooops

Prob too busy playing with the buttons and watching TV to notice a jeep pulling up!
  3. VAG Parts do a retro fit kit for the corrado (H4) not sure about the MOT side of things £280 for the set. I might go for this mod come Oct/Nov once ive passed the MOT :)
  4. I saw the mrk 2 on this recently it looked OK, I didn’t see any engine mods but I hope they at least put in an 8v gti block into it seeing as they put on the Gti badges. A white hearse on the other hand :gag:
  5. I think sandys 18s look well, I’ve seem similar wheels on US corrados looking well, not too sure about A8 18s tho
  6. Looks very clean for an early valver, is that a re spray? I like the read VW badge on the rear very subtle.
  7. Looks well, are those BBS split rims?
  8. Im with Phil K that plastic HT lead holder looks great, is it the same one as on the 16V mrk 3? Shame about the rest of the car tho :nono: you cant do that !
  9. Yeah I remember that thread now. There are plenty of VR6 mrk 3s over there tho and I think the 16V mrk 2 made it over in small quantities but your right not many corrados over there. I was considering bringing 2 over but heard of some stipulation where one car per person per yr can be imported. Still 16VG60s are rare enough in Europe not to mind Aus :D
  10. I must have mixed you two guys up  At this rate the corrado will be common as much over there :)
  11. Replacing the rear axle bushes can be tricky, Id leave that to the garage unless you’ve done it before. I would consider doing the front wishbones if you were looking to save a few quid and get the complete set inc bushes from GSF. As Neil said you’ll pay for service costs taking the old bushes out of the wishbones. Where did you get the price on the parts?
  12. You can replace the rods at any stage if they pass NCT then they are prob fine. Get the bushes & ball joints from GSF and get the garage to fit them if they have experience with older VWs. It can be a pain to get the old wishbones out if they are the originals, without the right tools you might round some of the bolts as some of them need convincing to come out!
  13. If you access to a car lift or pit Id put new wishbones with bushes in. If not get a set of powerflex bushes and get the garage to fit them. Its no easy job getting those bushes out of old wishbones, Id definitely have a look at the anti roll bar link rods + bushes when doing this work as they can be in rag order on older cars.
  14. A superb engine a blueprint for any 16V conversion. Let us know how you get on bringing her over to Aus. I might bring my valver over there next yr. Best of luck with it
  15. That’s some balancing act you got going on there Henny :)

    DRAT!

You could be waiting a while getting the new inserts, I have the same trouble with my H&Rs. Im keeping an eye out on ebay.de at the moment for a set of H&R front struts as its taking months to get the new inserts. I have seen a number of used coilover sets going V cheap Im half tempted to buy a set of KWs/FKs and use my own springs it would get me back on the road for the short term at least.
  17. Threw in a new starter motor into my valver recently, made a huge difference - with new HT leads and dizzy things are running smooooothly now. Also put on new strut braces lower front & rear, and a set of S2 front calipers & carriers with pads + x drilled disks + sparco lines on the front. I got new lupo wipers for it also they will be going on next chance I get to work on the car.

    strut brace

The old sirocco manifold comes in handy there. Ill put it up on eBay next time I get a chance to take pics of it. As I said I won’t be rushing out to buy a replacement any time soon. I have the rear and lower ones on so things should be tight enough.

    strut brace

I don’t have any pics of it but it’s the exact same as the blue one in the photo. Im pretty sure it will only go on the G60s perhaps a Vr but there is no way is going on my 16V without modifications. A straight bar across the front end might be the only solution. Im in no rush to get another one, Im getting rid of this one first before I shell out any more cash.

    strut brace

Boll*x U sure these Eurosport ones fit valvers? Im beginning to think its not possible to fit these to early valvers. The TB From this photo the throttle body looks like it will be in the way.
  21. great pics there, what wheels are on the G40?
  22. Baz2004

    strut brace

I having real trouble fitting this to my early valver. It wont fit, if I put it one way the expansion bottle/throttle body is in the way and another way the brake servo/bottle is in the way? Has anyone on here fitting one of these to a valver? does it involve moving the brake servo? Lower and rears went in with no probs.
  23. Do these wheels come in 16' or do they start at 17s? Sweet motor looks like a fair drop on her 8)
  24. Coupled with a with a flowed head + new cams a 50mm inlet manifold, K&N and 4 branch exhaust manifold will give a decent performance, its all the little things that add up.
