Cool, pretty much like the mk3 then. Cheers Jim :thumb right:

Anyone know where its located? Running Vag-Com on a mates car tommorow. Cheers

To totally counter what Kev just said mine grips amazingly with 1.7 camber on the front, even at this time of year. :D
-
Who done the alignement and do you know what they set the front camber to?

Driving home tonight and my abs light came on, pulled over and restarted the engine. After continuing driving the light was going on and off intermittantly and occasionaly when I pressed the brake pedal I could hear and feel the pump kicking in. Got home and tried to read the fault codes, when I turned the ignition on the pump was again kicking in occasionaly even though the car was stationary, engine codes read ok but it kept saying there were comm errors with the abs controller. Any ideas? Im thinking dodgy wire or connection somewhere causing bothe problems.

Andy's one of the good guys, he replaced the engine in my vr when I killed the old one earlier this year. :thumbleft:

i doubt it would make the fastest time and would be embarrising for Bugatti, it seems more of a gt with massive power than a car designed to go round a track fast.
-
Appropriate time for this pic methinks:

If you get one contact alpina527 about the inlet manifold and throttle body kit he does for the 328.

Its highly likely your vr already has the later pump, get the pump without sender and see if the existing one fits.

_leon_'s Corrado - R32/Gemini box now in progress
Joe M replied to _leon_'s topic in Members Gallery
ooh, theres a pic of me on the forum now. I reckin you would deffo need an undrilled box, the filter itself doesnt make a huge difference to noise. -
And if its just a couple of standard 2.9 pistons your looking for ive got 5 good spares.
-
Doesnt sound good. :? Ive asked for clarification on what the disks are in the other thread.
-
Can anyone confirm if the hub spigot on the corrado is the right size for 312mm disks? Theres someone on vr6oc saying he just fitted the setup and the holes on the disks are too big. :?
-
I reckon to get one of the bigger tracks (Oulton is ace) booked exclusively about 40 cars would be needed at up to £140 per car. I think it would be a struggle to find 40 corrado owners willing to take part but vag only would be good.
-
Not neccessarily, depends on how efficient the engine is at turning over for each given rpm and the load on it. What do you think would use more fuel? Driving up a steep hill at 10mph in 5th or 2nd? 5th would be lower revs but im betting 2nd would use less fuel.

Theres a vid on the net somewhere with a 2 euro coin balanced on its edge on one of them bm v12 engines, the engine is then started, revved to 3000rpm and shut off again and the coin doesnt fall over. Very coo. 8) Edit: heres a link http://www.lecherousjester.com/crap/euroonengine.mpeg

Who takes their Corrado out on track? (or strip)
Joe M replied to PhatVR6's topic in General Car Chat
Done 5 trackdays last year but have only managed 3 this year due to being skint. The car goes very well, Knockhill is very hard on the 288's as its a short track with 2 heavy braking areas and the oil temp gets up a bit high too quick (got a mocal under my bed to go on). Other than that it bogs down a bit out of slower corners, im planning on going to a 3.9 fd though and to get a few more engine mods to make it rev higher safely so that should solve that problem. Was very impressed at managing to get under 100 seconds at Kames this year, fastest car there with full interior and no rollcage. What sort of times did you get round there in your golf PhatVR6? -
17978 - Engine Start Blocked by Immobilizer P1570 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent I get this occasionally, if your car starts ok dont worry about it. 00561 - Mixture Adjustment Control 15-10 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent Possibly a lambda fault? dunno tbh 00553 - Mass Air Flow Sensor -G70 29-10 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent Maf sensor, changing this may also solve the problem with 561 00518 - P0121 Throttle Position Sensor - Signal Out of Range (G69) Also check for loose ECM power relay 30-10 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent Im pretty sure the ecu uses this sensor as a backup if the maf fails, with both sensors dodgy then this is probably the reason for the 561 code. 00611 -Ignition Output 3 28-10 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent Dunno, coilpack? 00513 - Engine Speed Sensor - G28 - Signal Malfunction 03-00 - Please Register/Activate I think this is the usual code that appears as the engines not running, ignore if you car starts ok. Thats what the fault codes are, sounds to me like the maf, tps and coilpack could all be dodgy on your car, but im no expert on these things so id wait on a 2nd opinion before splashing out on all the parts.

Corrado spotting! Was it you - [October 2005]

Seen a blue M reg on Sauchiehall street last night outside Campus, I was parked a few cars back. Anyone here? -
Thats from a Golf vr6, dizzy model.
-
G60 box will fit afaik, not sure how different the gear ratios are.
-
Ive done it at about 100mph on track and it was scary enough. Ive also felt the abs kick in at about 130. Im not daft enough to try disconnecting the abs and hitting the pedal that hard at 140 though.
-
Yes, but locking the wheels up only means the wheel is decelerating faster than the car, it doesnt need to completely stop.
-
Its more a case of having the bottle to press the brakes that hard at 140mph. After all, the tyres have the same amount of grip at 40 as they do at 140..... Only difference is the wheels are spinning faster.
