bay looks excellent now, was never a fan of the clashing colours (i know you only bought it like that) so definitely a big improvement!
-
i wondered if that video was a reply to this one which showed up next to it of an A3 turbo - it wasn't but interesting that that turbo upgrade was 12,900 euros or about £10k! but anyway Karl, i think if you bought the Golf you would be wishing you had the V6 very soon afterwards, just knowing your preference for proper engines!

howcome you've gone from 1.8t conversion to not having the money to keep it in 5 days?! :confused4:

bled my rears using eezibleed 2 weeks ago after letting them drip fluid (ie. lose pressure) with the calipers off for at least 4 hours beforehand - no issues at all. dont know if that is much help but perhaps at least points to something else causing problems with your system (compensator as mentioned etc.)

dont want to labour the point but really, like i said on page 1, they already did. its the TT, its been around for over 10 years and isnt going to be replaced anytime soon by anything with a VW badge on it....

from the very first post of the thread.. -
would need quite a few tweaks to stop looking like a honda civic though..

i think we're still in the breaking phase at the moment, there's been more (good) cars for sale this year so far than i've seen in 4 and a half years. when finding a good low mileage one for a collector is really hard then prices will go up, i dont think we're at that stage yet though. for at least a year its been the worst time to be selling a corrado in working condition, so unless you really need the money, i'd keep it.
-
Yeah, people dont really give enough credit to the fact that the TT was/is the VAG coupe successor to the Corrado, whether it was intentionally or otherwise. Whenever VW want to build an expensive car these days that isnt just a souped-up version of an existing VW model, then they build an Audi..
-
what kind of alarm does the car have, does that still work? mine blew a fuse the other week and i had electrics but no starting because of that..
-
Dave found the same on mine last year Jim and I was in a rush so just bought new but, reading since then, Koni should replace them so I'd definitely at least ask the question. Good news on the pass though!

StormchargedVR6 had tints on his C and they looked perfect.

fitment on my g60 (thinking of using compomotives?)
dukest replied to Andyradog60's topic in Exterior
they'd probably look good but you'd probably want a 15mm spacer on them to make up for the high offset, so depends if you're happy running spacers. also, the centrebore is 56.5mm and VW is 57.1 so you might need that machining out slightly to get them on. -
-60mm on standard shocks will be horrible.. how much have you got to spend?

check the BVF thread :pale:

are you sure it wont come off just by wiggling it around a bit? the plastic wheel clips onto a metal disc with an oval shaped hole in it. that oval shape hole then fits over an oval shaped "peg" for want of a better word - this is what the wheel turns for the adjustment. a hex bolt holds the disc on the peg and must have come loose. eventually it will come out all together and allow the wheel including the disc to come off. then you have to pry them apart and bolt the disc back on and reclip the wheel over the disc. it will all make sense when you see it!
-
10mm?? His first post says his wheel sticks out 10mm more on one side......... yeah but 10mm play in the ball joints sounds pretty terrifying?
-
10mm??

how do you know for sure that the wings are the same?
-
nightmare! but glad they came good for you though, rough with the smooth and all that..

the internet says they'd weigh 10.9kg..
-

its not traction control in any kind of modern sense, not worth getting excited about

bear in mind the flat spoke MOs may not clear big brakes well at Et35 even at 8" wide though
