  1. maybe try maclaren/tvr parts departments?
  2. The guy selling it is Bigpants baby on here. You might get a reply if you try PMing him, no guarantees though!
  3. cheapest is £650+ so that probably answers your question about JOM..

well how wide are they? i suggested 17x8in because you said you wanted 8s or 9s? if you've got some 7s or something then obviously they will be too narrow for you yes.

Dark-coloured Oz Superturismo's 17x8 look pretty mean on a corrado. Search for licklepaulie on here from a few years ago, or vag-hag/KADVR6 had a set between them as well.
  8. loved this on TTs a couple of years ago at ed38 but still looking very well looked after! :salute:
  9. Peanut and MI5 VW on here put a side exit exhaust on a Mk3 Estate they ran a couple of years ago. Maybe worth a PM for their thoughts?
  10. people normally cut rear arches out of other cars and then weld them in..
  11. half an inch is say 13mm, so your new wheels are 6.5mm narrower on each side. so if it was the same offset they would seem 6.5mm further inset. now you also have wheels that are set in an extra 7mm (37-30) so overall the outer side of the wheel is now approx 13mm further in than before. i cant see that you'll have any rubbing issues with that but maybe you'd want spacers for cosmetic reasons given the change in stance with the new wheels.
  12. have you had a look in here? viewtopic.php?f=1&t=7209&hilit=vag+com+area
  13. If you have an oil cooler as well then something is seriously wrong!!
  14. or a mk4 i guess if thats what calipers you're using
  15. late mk3 vr6 discs from yrs 95-98 you'll also need the hoses to fit the calipers as they're different from standard corrado calipers. either from goodridge if you want braided, or i guess from dealers/gsf if you dont mind about that
  16. His username is Daz vr... Last logged on Jul 04 11:32am I have his email address if you want me to PM it to you? No phone numbers, addresses though. It's not required info when you sign up, although if this kind of thing continues, we should look at doing that....data protection act not withstanding of course! he was pretty slow with something i bought about 2 months ago, needed a few nudges but he got there in the end after a silly excuse. just sounds a bit disorganised to me (saying that because i've been there too) but i appreciate that it is annoying when people just dont reply.
  17. even though its not that heavy on brakes, it took me 20 minutes at brands hatch to noticeably overheat my non-grooved, non-drilled brembo discs with redstuff pads so i just dont think that is really a concern on the road tbh.. i cant think of any road where you'll regularly be standing on the brakes every 100m unless you live up a mountain somewhere. happy to to agree on the discs Kev and in outright performance the pads may not be no.1 but for the money i think they're not so bad compared to 40% more for some of the competition. but it is all very relative at the end of the day anyway!
  18. have you done any searching on this? lotssss of posts already, as you found for your suspension question. greens are pretty uninspiring, go for reds if you want to drive it harder than normal, or any one of the other uprated ones mentioned in many recent threads. reds are relatively cheap in comparison to Ferodo DS2500 though, just need a bit of warming up to be at their best (ie. good enough for light track use). discs are less important at this level i would say - standard VW or Brembo will be fine.
  19. ok, thanks, could be interested in the shocks at least
  20. until you get to about £700-800 then its almost always just height adjustment and very little else..
  21. emu, what are you doing with the old Koni stuff? is it still serviceable? what springs were they?
  22. What sort of cash would I be looking at for those? Best supplier? unfortunately they're probably closer to the £600 than £500 mark, but mainly because they have adjustable damping. lots of people have the weitecs coils and say they're pretty harsh. a couple of people have the weitec shocks and springs and say they are a bit less extreme (but that's probably down to them not putting the car so low). i still havent heard of anyone trying the KW springs/shocks but i would certainly be tempted if i was looking. i imagine the ride would still be firm but a bit more forgiving than the weitecs.
  23. where do you live, are you anywhere near one of those car club schemes that you can rent cars by the hour? or just pay for taxis?
  24. sounds like the guy has a sale there! :D
  25. thinking about it mine was on axle stands holding the beam up so i guess that's why mine was ok..
