1. Bit of a late reply (never saw your post) but thanks for the compliments Tom! Trouble is the evolution never stops and the changes take me so long (too many other things on the go) the cars always in bits!
2. There are some cowling parts that cover that hole up aren't there?
3. Is tapatalk 2 worth it?
4. Just to note, you do not need to connect the clutch and brake if your donor vehicle was dsg!
5. Once you go tubeless you won't look back. All you need is some 1" gorilla tape and a kit of stans valves and liquid. To fit it though you do need to go down to garage if you don't have a compressor.
6. Have you followed the same coolant system as the 12v, made and mods to the coolant system? Blocked cooler?
7. Seem a bit too cheap! Probably softer steel (or lower class casting) to achieve that price. Fine for a summer day car, not so good for a daily. How about a second hand vw one? That's what I bought, from a Mk3 a pair for £35 They were fine. If you do get them second hand, make sure the donor isn't on hard suspension- that kills them.
8. I hate it when you buy a product from someone and they cant be bothered to even help you out. Hope we can help! Probably best to take the strut off complete with top mount, and then take a photo with all the parts in an exploded view.. But of a chore but probably the only way you'll get an informed answer!
9. I paid £6900 (I think!) for mine....... in 2000!
10. There is something nice about having the OEM wheels on it though, I prefer the speedlines personally.
11. Well done glad its all running. Love that moment when it fires up and runs nice after lots of electrical work. 🍺😄

Bumper alignment

You know your Corrado's prettey much perfect when you start worrying about slight bumper misalignment!
13. I'll see if I can dig the wiring diagrams out for your engine. Do you know what car it came from etc, the more details the better, presumably a golf 4 motion? ---------- Post added at 11:37 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:35 PM ---------- You have had the ECU immobilizer defeated haven't you?
14. Oh right sorry pal, you're just going to have to start from the basics and work your way back I suppose. It'll be worth it!
15. This is what I've done if I can remember right! My engine is a BHE though (Audi TT) so I'm not sure if it's all the same as a Mk5 engine. G1 /02 outside air temp G1 /03 Fuel pump trigger- J220/65 Purple/White G1/04 15 +12V for ECU , VSS, J220/21 Black G1/05 Earth Brown G1/07 ECU Earth Trigger Wire- J220/23 Purple G1/08 Fuel Pump Relay Output- AMM, Lambdas Blue/Yellow G1/10 ECU Relay Output (109) ECU J220?/3 Injectors,Coils Black/Purple G1/11 VSS (Signal) Blue/White G1/12 ECU Tach Signal J220/37 (Mk4 and Audi Engines only)
16. I got one to fit with a little modification but I'm not using the standard ECU. You do have to take off the little tray bit for catching the windscreen water.
17. Both bits should really be replaced 70k, they lose their accuracy and responsiveness over time and you'll probably notice a difference, with mpg too. You might still have a wiring fault though!
18. If you've swapped the ecu, did you get the chip from the keys to go with it?
19. The 2.9's were never as smooth at idle as the 2.8 anyway, as the others have said the results seem ok, if you really wanted to be sure you could do a leak down test.
20. X2 for hammering a spline in- hasn't failed me yet.
21. I think 29ers will be prettey much standard for XC in 5 years time...
22. I also think the back of the sciriocco looks stodgy. The car also looks like a hatch not a coupe like the above pic.
23. Glad to hear you fixed it. Bet the figure it shows you isn't so good!
24. I tried using the cans and doing it in the garage when it was frosty outside, took me ages heating the cans up and using a hair dryer to dry the dye.... A small airbrush compressor and gun would do the job. You might get a more even coverage with small car spray gun and maybe more control. I just know the cans were a bit of a chore for a whole interior. If you're not doing a colour change a large kit will be fine, with plenty left over for future repairs etc. you can rent a compressor from them for a small fee I think.
