Top work Chris, did you have to strip the struts before plating? I painted mine but plating would have been nicer...

Good move on getting the furniture clinic stuff mate, I used it to do a colour change, for which it was pretty good. But for just refreshing the same colour it's absolutely brilliant. Get the Matt finish as it makes the interior look brand new. You can also spray plastics with it to freshen them up. Rather than retrimming the cut up bits I'd find some black ones which are easily found and colour code them. Don't use the compressed air cans, hire or buy a small compressor, and do it somewhere warm. Nice work keep it up pal.

New buyer got a great car you've restored. I've got a mk5 140d, its a good choice buddy, bit dull but does everything well, especially mpg. -
I don't think eBay have much to gain by clamping down on it, with no real competition for customers to go to, they'll keep on letting it happen as the higher the price paid the more they earn....perhaps we should all use the other auction sites more!
-
Ahh Kip you're just saying that because you know it makes me feel bad!
-
Don't worry about the full tank buddy, it's attached to the top if I remember right. Can't tell you which is the right pump though, ring the dealer!
-
Perhaps only the Mystic Storms are the real deal😃, the green ones just dealer fabricated!
-
I broke one when I pulled the first rivet up (I think it might have already been cracked) but was subsequently very careful and didn't split the last 3. Shouldn't be a problem bud.

Still have mine tucked away in the garage. There's surely more left than this states?! 9 licenced and 5 sorn (manuals) 0 autos left! Cant be right. http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle/volkswagen_corrado_storm_vr6

Not sure how it will pan out, but many years ago on top gear the Corrado was one of only two cars (the other being a Mercedes Cosworth) to be featured on their short lived 'future classic' wall!

There's usually a few TT 3.2's being broken

Good luck with it! I've done it once and it's great, could have done with a bit more tea and cake though to eat at the top! Going down hurt more than going up, went up the steeper rocky way, down the grassier way. Have fun😜

You couldn't ask for a better looked after M5 than Pete's one! Should hold its value too...
-
Glad to help Ollie! Hope it fits the bill

Surely this is better than using an interior light to guide your way? I have this function on my Mk5 golf and I use it all the time at home as I have to park where there is no outside light... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Univers-Coming-Leaving-Home-Module-Relais-Headlight-Light-Delay-Sensor-Head-Lamp-/221122875094?pt=UK_Other_Clothing_Protection&var=&hash=item337bf34ed6

Perhaps install follow me home headlight kit? Then you will see the road better. Works unlocking too!

Leave the phone off the hook for a while, they'll soon get bored...

Have you rolled the dimmer by mistake?
-
What's the spec on that then?
-
No idea! But I'm sure some other bods on here will pipe up soon enough 😄
-
Ill have to have a read of that, I always loved the sound of a high output g60, Jeroen Dik's 300bhp mk1 was absolutely immense for the time. Thanks for posting😀
