  2. There are 2 small vaccum hoses which attach to the underside of the rubber bit that goes onto the throttle body, one comes from the side of the airbox.......it wont run well if these aren't on
  3. I know how you feel........when i had the bad idle, i replaced the fuel pump, distributor, leads, metering head, throttle potentiometer(throttle positioning switch), throttle body, ignition switch.....and is still did it :bad-words: .........i found the fault by chance, the wires to the tps were burst inside the plastic coating, they looked ok but were burst inside........keep at it, you'll get there :) Oh and most of the things i replaced before i found this forum......wish i had found it earlier :D
  4. The search is where you need to be.........but i'll save you the stress this time :D , lots of good links in this post, if you read the 'Kangaroo' one there is a brief description of how i solved the bad idle on my old valver.........bad wiring to the throttle potentiometer(which could be similar to your fault??).....happy reading :salute: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=100255&hilit=2.0+16v+idle

  7. I think this qualifies as a Chuftie. I went to halfords the other night with a friend to get a headlight bulb(£10),sidelight bulb(£2.70) and new windscreen wipers(£16) for his corsa.........the guy working there helped find the correct wipers and i chanced my arm and asked him to put them through as trade......he laughed and asked if i'm in the motor trade........i said no and he said sorry but no, i said i did have 3 cars but this made no difference, and as a parting shot i said i was a member of a motoring club........again he laughed as he was walking away, he then asked which club(just being polite i think), i said The Corrado Club of GB........he then smiles and said.....oh i used to have a G60.......a wee bit of enthusing and 5 mins later i had a trade card :D The discount was very good too........bill should have been approx £30.........and it was only £10.50 ish  :D
  8. That's great news, have access to plenty of mk2 bits.cheers Only thing that is different is, there is a plastic locating leg which isn't the same........but it snaps off easily :D .........all the electrical bits are the same 8)
  9. Mk2 Golf switch fits and there is a lot of them on ebay.......and they are cheap.......i got one for about £5 and i got the headlight switch repair kit off daves16v, which sorted the original switch :D
  10. I'd say the fact its almost identical with the isv plugged in or unplugged, then its probably the isv thats at fault. Plenty of other potential causes but my money is on your isv.........apologies if you've used the search already :D viewtopic.php?f=1&t=79327&hilit=2.0+16v+idle viewtopic.php?f=1&t=96214&hilit=2.0+16v+maf viewtopic.php?f=1&t=62564&hilit=2.0+16v+kangaroo viewtopic.php?f=1&t=84474&hilit=2.0+16v+idle viewtopic.php?f=1&t=84789&hilit=2.0+16v+idle viewtopic.php?f=1&t=83795&hilit=2.0+16v+idle
  11. My local asda is selling Castrol gtx 10w40 and 15w40...... £10 for 4 litres......seems cheap to me :D
  12. I replaced mine along with the seal for the oil filter housing.........took the front end off as access is limited.........easy enough to do though.........undo the big bolt in the middle , it slides out and the cooler comes away with a slight tap(something soft)......here is a pic of the seals with the part numbers, both of these are for the oil cooler btw, the one for the oil filter housing is a figure of 8 seal
  13. Any idea where the temp sensor is on a 1 litre lupo?[/quote:pkd0f3he] This is it i think

If you take the switch panel off, there should be a allan key type thing on the motor which you can use to manually wind it back........that is if the mechanism is able to do it? Good luck :D

  19. I replied as soon as you put the adderss up, really hope you don't get into any bother over this
  20. This forum is for transactional disputes really mate. I don't think anyone has not received their parts from Mr Higgins, so technically he isn't a bad seller. An expensive seller, yes, but not a bad one :D I bought a front grill off this guy and 2 months later my Goldfish died - how do you explain that one Kev? :worthless:
  21. Me too....... Martin McGillion PM'd you my address etc :D
