Hopefully, and hopefully in the rado :-)

I was there on Saturday! Wished I had known earlier I would have got you a load. By the way there's another set of tombstones there...
-
That's really sad news, watched that video many times, some serious skill and definitely a crowd pleaser. Rip

Just doing the swap now, is there any reason why you need to use the mk4 shifter as opposed to just the whole polo housing/shifter with mk4 cables?
-
Someone will most likely say the gearing is different or something else but it looks exactly the same and I've still got my vr6 one spare just in case
-
Nope, I'm using one
-
Lol, surprised el didn't give it a little scratch as Payback
-
Lol Yea I'll double up on looms Phil! I know what you guys are saying and agree but I just like the idea of having it all working as it was designed but upgraded, I'll have a think about it, it's one less thing to sort I guess. Well I'm making steady progress, aim is to get it to all types in the next month, opptimistic but doable. Pulled the shifter out yesterday ready for mk4 stuff, decided I'm going to relocate the battery to the boot so need to grab a bmw battery cable and find a suitable junction box for the bay. Meant to get to scrapyard today for parts but was my mates housewarming last night and I am huuuuuuuung over! Also got pedal put in place, needs a bit of tweaking to get it right but pretty happy with it

I had wondered why it was so quiet around here! How's it going?
-
If I can't get it in a decent place I think the best bet might be to run a flexible pipe from behind the Headlight. Battery relocation is on the list to do but the list is getting a bit daft, and expensive!

I'm finally making that final push to get mine on the road so hoping to see some inspiration, I'm wanting to use my BMC CDA and my initial idea was to add a 180 degree bend and run the intake round the back but just does not look like there is any room there, second thought is run it straight out with a 90 bend but then all its doing is sucking in the radiators hot air. Ideally I'd like to move the battery and mount it further towards the wing but I'd like to get it on the road first. Does anyone running a BMC have any pictures of how they have ran the intake pipework?

Saw a nice looking vr in Melbourne today (near york) on my way back from York raceway

Well not a whole lot of progress to talk about, bought a house so it's decorating and fixing duties but this weekend I managed a bit of work on it. Moved the car across from my mums garage to mine, lot more room to work on it now I have a double garage! Finally got round to fitting my fans, just need to figure out what Resistors I need for 3 stage fan and make a wiring loom for them. Wanted a day on it today but there was a local rally on which sounded like a lot more fun so I went to watch a load of these :-) I've always wanted one, I think if I ever sell the corrado I'd have to try get one
-
I presume you all know, but just in case, the vr6 has wider track than the other models. I can't quite see from that photo but I presume you are 4 stud Liam? I'm running et15 on my vr6 and wheels poke out a fair bit

I'd like to be there but depends if firstly the car is on the road and secondly if I can afford it!
-
100% will need arch work for 10's unless you want to run it sky high. Patman on here, who recently sold his R32 Corrado was in the process of fitting some brocks in those fitments, might be worth looking for his build thread.

If that is the correct wiring diagram, it should be a single 1.5mm yellow wire connecting to emergency flasher relay (I think as I can't quite read text) which if it's from the alarm would be to flash the indicators when you lock and unlock the car Edit: sorry found a wiring diagram and it seems to go to the left Headlight when you pull stalk back to flash, seems a bit odd really, have you tried tracing where they go?
-
I ran that exact setup on my old valver without arch rolled, I run 16x9 et15 on rear on my vr with arches rolled and pulled slightly now and catches now and then but I do run it quite low

Can you not make a jig with a threaded bar or something?

Just picked mine up, box came in one piece and contents are spot on. Big thanks! -
They are the main conversion plugs, there are a couple more original wires, just single or double plus. I forget what they are for, fans and something else.

You remember where you bought fans from yet? -
Hoping there may be some people with knowledge of CANBUS on here, I've done an R32 conversion but unfortunately my tacho isn't working off the analogue signal so I'll have to get a tacho convertor. I've had a look around and a few places do the signal convertor for the tacho however what I'd like to do is try take out a few signals (MPG, oil temp and the tacho signal), does anyone know of any products out there with the ability to do this or any companies that might be able to produce something like this? Few people have pointed me towards pulse width modulators and also straight forward tacho converters but it would be nice to use the 3.2 signals. I already have a T-piece in my oil filter housing for oil temp however the canbus uses sump oil temp hence the reason I'd like to pickup that signal.

I'm a firm believer in saving corrados as they are such a great car, especially ones that just need a new loving owner and some tlc. If I were you I'd spend a weekend diagnosing it, could be something as simple as an airlock and some condensation in the oil. Plenty of knowledgeable people willing to give advice on here

How to fit / wire / install obd2
swiftkid replied to C488ADO's topic in [Archive] Wiki Submissions & Collaboration
You still having problems Hasan? Not sure were talking about the same thing, you know on the underneath of the inlet manifold there is a bracket where the rubber bung around the throttle cable slots into? Well there are ridges in the outer sheath and should be a sort of 'C' clip. Best photo I could find is this: What you want to be doing is pulling the C clip off, pulling the sheath away from the throttle body until the cable is tighter. It doesn't need to be stupidly tight, just enough to get full movement on the butterfly
