Yea no problem Phil, just trying to find a supplier for standard power timer terminals and the seals, can get junior and micro easily but the larger ones are a git to find unless I want to order a pack of 250 but that's a little excessive when I only need 2!

Just been doing little bits on the car seeing as I'm not in such a rush. Sorting my Slimline fan loom, bought some new connectors from vw, that means I don't have to do any cutting or bodging of the standard loom and it's all very oem. Got the full weekend on it so can finish off all those niggles and hopefully in for test next week... Fingers crossed!

I spoke to Chris knott and they couldn't get anywhere near 400 for a 28yr old, garaged, 3k mileage with commuting but my 9 years now claims are being "used".
-
Pretty much exactly the same as what I've just paid clumpy!
-
Think they are easy enough to, was so long ago I did mine. Cars looking lovely Phil, just don't ever Park it next to mine
-
Agreed! These and window scraper seals bring a tear to my eye thinking how much vw charge for them

Looks properly smart that! Love a nice shiny Red rado!

I wouldn't go near a bonnet bra, my sister had one for her ibiza and it absolutely wrecked the bonnet. It traps moisture and caused lacquer peel as well as scratching it like crazy!

My vr6, 9x16 all round. Et15 rear, et20 front (25 with spacer to clear brakes) with rolled and pulled arches.

Trimsport VW Corrado Carbon Fibre Rear Number Plate Holder
swiftkid replied to G60MAT's topic in Suppliers Forum
Are the number plate light surrounds being produced as well? Any idea on price for that and the plate holder? -
Bit of a daft question but whats everyone done with fan controller? Mine was right in the way so just made up a temporary angle mounting bracket to move it out the way but looks pretty naff, noticed whilst poking around mk2/passat etc engine bays several variations of brackets. Anyone used anything oem that moves it out the way nicely?

I bought one off ebay... Well actually I bought a couple, first one was a little out of shape so got sent another
-
Haha, I'd like to say that won't happen but I'm already planning the teves20 upgrade!
-
Thanks for the offer, very kind of you but I do still have the 12v pas pump, I just thought seeing as it's newer it should hopefully be better. We will see if it gets any better with use. Yea yea kev... Well the next step for me is to build the turbo setup whilst enjoying some more power so might be picking your brains. I just want to drive it now, havnt been out the garage for a year and a half

Well I changed to a 24v power steering pump and I don't think it's properly bled or something, either way it should be an easy fix. I couldn't put my foot down as tyres were pretty flat, will sort all teething problems and be back in a few weeks. 1 thing I will say is I've done the mk4 shifter swap (used polo housing and mechanism, with mk4 cables and selector tower) and it felt fantastic. Went from short shifter to this and seem to have done a big difference and that's before I've cut the gearstick down.

Yea, easy enough to fix but after spending nearly 2 weeks solid on it quite soul destroying! I'll pick it back up in a couple of weeks and should be pretty awesome, it wanted to spin up in the dry with barely any throttle! Yea sounds like a good idea that, nice easy fix!

Well what a nightmare, had planned to take it to all types in Wales this weekend, aimed to get it booked in for mot but just 1 thing after another! I'd converted the floor mount pedal to a hanging one, fired up engine after putting it all back together and nothing... Urgh, luckily after a little head scratching it was just pins in wrong order, once that was changed it revved freely. Ordered some fan connectors to make my fan loom which havnt come yet so looks a right bodge job. But the nail in the coffin was, literally 20 minutes before it was due for mot the bloody bonnet cable clip snapped! Managed to bodge it and set off for station but abs light came on, power steering was making a right noise, plus other things I just wasn't happy with so turned round and parked it back in garage for when I can be arsed to work on it again. Now on the lookout for a permanent fix to the crappy bonnet clip.

Saw a red rado in Leicester near the karting track, only caught a glimpse but looked nice

Cheers for the heads up guys, I ended up calling vw. There is a guy on eBay selling both sides to the rad fan connector but the updated version, unfortunately the delivery date was about 3-4 weeks and was 15quid so rang vw and got them both for £7. Just need terminals now
-
Nearly back together, mot this week hopefully.
-
Hey all, just wondering if anyone knows of a place to get oem connectors from? I've got plenty of the standard type stuff but I'm looking for plugs like the opposite side of the fan (the plug actually built into the fan) and the Headlight plug Cheers

Hi everyone! Is my old Rotrex Charged Storm still about?

Can't find his build thread but there's a picture of it here http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?t=84427 -

I have seen a members thread on here with the new owner, or at least I'm pretty sure. I camped next to the guy at Gti international last year, looked well and guy was looking after it! -
In addition to the above question, did anyone else find that the cables sat against the tunnel?
