  1. Hmm, strange one. Just double check pins 10, 14, 15, 25, 32 & 33 are ok, they are the injector wires. Have you double checked chain timing? Doesn't seem like it would be that but worth checking. Have you had it on vag com yet? Also check pins 37, 38 & 39, they are you coilpack wires. 36 should be the earth (brown). One more thing that has hit me, when you swapped cams did you put your cam position sensor on the correct cam, stupid question but it does happen... To idiots like me
  2. I would isolate the problem first mate, take out spark plugs and check them over, if they smell of fuel you know it's either not sparking right or its injecting too much fuel. You might find a good clean up of the spark plugs might cure it. When I was finding out my problem I took the fuel rail out and cranked it to see spray pattern (be careful as they should be pretty pressurised!), mine fired constantly on 1 injector. But I wouldn't go buying things before finding out the problem
  3. When I had a problem with my ecu it was injecting constantly on 1 cylinder, and that caused the cat to glow. Have you had the plugs out? Might find they are drenched with fuel? Only a thought. Are all your earth's on properly? Any cracks in your coilpack?
  4. That would be great Jim. I'm not sure on the strength of 3D printed parts but if you look at the cog it has a track where the arm pin runs in, as far as I can see there isn't really a reason why this can't be a solid piece with the track cut in it as opposed to the track runner extruded allowing it to snap off. I have been kindly offered a replacement cog however seeing how many people have problems with directional part of the heater, it would be nice to get some made up seeing as heater controls seem to be fetching 3 figure sums now!
  5. I've actually been looking into this, the main failure I have found is the directional cog, in particular the underneath of the bottom cog where the runner snaps on the later mechanism. I have thought about 3d printing but need to fund out about cost, when I get chance I'm hoping to design the cog a little stronger and see the cost then maybe see if anyone is interested
  6. I do love a nice bit of engineering, makes a refreshing change from the guys cutting all the coils out of standard suspension or handing over blank cheques. I'll be very interested into finding out how a RWD corrado handles, since owning a bmw RWD just seems to make much more sense these days!
  7. He not sending you pics of the doors ;-) Looks good Phil, you decided on wheels yet?
  8. I did have one somewhere, I'll have a look for you over the weekend if I have time
  9. I installed a toad alarm system with central locking then got a bodyshop to cut my corrado handles out and weld audi door handles in with no locks, no more lock problems or having to climb in through the boot, I got a few funny looks doing this dressed in office clothing and being over 6ft. Thankfully mine now stays in a garage all winter but a windscreen cover is always useful and costs about a fiver, and as for de-icer I always use the spray type bottles not tins, works much better!
  10. I think lilfuzzer already looked but it's the bottom cog of the directional part. The underneath of that cog always breaks so I'm looking into getting some made
  11. Don't ever ever ever buy a clio, ever! my girlfriend has had 2, why the hell she bought another one after her first was beyond me. Its horrible to drive, the driving position is horrible, seats are uncomfy, build quality i would rate in negative figures, ease of maintenance is laughable - to change a bulb I felt like I needed to remove the engine. She owned her second for about 6 months before slave cylinder went and guess what? Its built into the friggin gearbox so instead of 2 bolts it was gearbox off! Who does that!? If you must own a clio, keep the corrado and then at least you'll be able to smile when you get back into your 20yr old car and realise that the build quality is a million times better.
  12. Ahh, didn't realise it was just conduit (split?) thought it was possibly coated tube or something.
  13. Stunning and amazing attention to detail as always! Where did you get the loom protection and t pieces from?
  14. I've heard of people using strong magnets, gluing them to the back of the bumper and number plate.
  15. Nice camper! I love carving pumpkins! This was last year's, and below that this years. Some people go crazy on them though!
  16. Like kev says, if it's out by a tooth it wouldn't shake that badly. Have you stuck it on vag com? Double checked all earth's?
  17. Think I used photo bucket to post my video but still have got the hang of embedding videos. Glad it's fired up OK! Gutted it's not perfect but you'll get there
  18. Lilfuzzer you havnt by any chance got a spare not broken bottom directional cog?
  19. That's got nothing to do with obd2, there is a clip on the throttle cable in the engine bay you can adjust where the cable sits. Adjust that before you touch the stop
  20. I don't even run the support bar, gives the splitter a little flex when it hits things
  21. Lol, was my makeshift tool actually of any use? Yours looks a lot more professional haha. Some good effort going into this! Fingers crossed it will all go smoothly for you.
  22. Havnt seen a plug like that before, where does the wire go to?
  23. Absolutely love that! I had decided on my next set of wheels but seeing them I may have to have another think!
