  1. schoolboy error! looks pretty stright... but for a bit more than the buy it now, you could have mine and save yourself a long drive ;)
  2. what sort of eyebrow is it mate? eyebrow/grille or just the brow? people recomend screwing them into the headlamp plastic at either end, but the one I had on my 16v was stuck on with loads of gooy stuff and wasnt going anywhere!
  3. pfft, bunch of chavs! ;)
  4. I've got ferodo pads and black dimond discs, the bites fantastic but you still get about 1/4 travel before you get any substantial braking power, I think its the way the brakes are set up on the corrado as opposed to the quality of them.
  5. might be wrong but I think they came off the later a8 v6?
  6. both g-man and OSV have these on their passats, they are indeed off an A8. there was a set on ebay a week or so ago which when I last looked, were at £550. being audi they'll be 5x112 so will need adaptors to fit.
  7. i think thats due to the headlights being changed, the grilles in the right place, but the angle of the headlights isnt quite right.
  8. £50?! there was a set on ebay the other day for £550! someone got scammed!
  9. I like the rims, but not on a corrado. They look 'ok' but I dunno... theres something that just doesnt look right to me. maybe if they were polished up or something?
  10. AutoGuideWiki bit like the famed Wikipedia, only for cars. I dont think its very mature in terms of content yet since theres no mention of the corrado under the VW section... but thats the joy-o-wiki! create an account and you can add the missing content. So, whos fully clued up on the ins and outs of the marque and wants to get the ball rolling?
  11. you need to do the classic spy coded conversation when you meet... "I hear Osnabruck is cold this time of year" "alright Jim!" "oh FFS"
  12. its like a really really old vayron!
  13. taking in car entertainment to a whole new level...
  14. yup, I'm not expecting it to come up to the corrado's standards, I'm expecting it to fall way short in terms of handling and power TBH but, considering the reason I'm swapping, its unlikely I'll have the chance to drive it in such a way that I'll notice. I reckon the 'baby on board' sticker might put the boy racers off ;)
  15. yeah, i know they're not the greatest but they're cheap and fairly practical!
  16. k/92 will be one of the first VR's which means it has a distributor rather than a coilpack. Very little difference otherwise. Corrados themselves were first availible in 1989 in 1.8 16v form.
  17. sounds good for 3k! cheap if you ask me!
  18. noise from the right hand side of the engine block which sounds like a marble in a tin can should be one of the main things you listen for, it means the chains need doing and thats expensive. If theres no noise you're 'probably' safe. Just make sure it drives how you'd expect and check the 'buyers guide' on here for more general info. 3k sounds fair to me, how old is it and what options/modifications does it have?
  19. no_endo, I can see where you're coming from wanting as low milage as possible, but its not that big a deal where the VR6 and VW's in general are concerned since they'll go practically forever! Drive it, check it over, if it looks and feels right to you go for it reguardless of miles.
  20. for 5k you can have mine mate! ;) oh go on then, I'll take £4750 for cash since its on 128k(ish)
  21. deny all knowladge and accuse her of drinking or needing glasses resulting in double vision
  22. well, on a wet saturday afternoon with no garage to work in... the place I took mine to did the 20min job while I waited, saved me the hasstle of getting grubby and I got to have a butchers at the owners sl 600 merc while i hung about, horses for courses I guess, but to me its £20 well spent because I CBA to do it ;)
  23. just make sure if there IS a stub that its in the hole on the disc, otherwise you'll get loads of wobble and vibration when braking.
