If you reuse the head I'd remove the sprockets off the cams and remove the VVT housing behind them, there's a filter in the housing that blocks with pieces of white metal off the big ends

I'm not a fan of easibleed, using stale water laden air from an old tyre sort of defeats the point of changing the fluid imo? I use one of these Bare in mind the fluid reservoir is just a push fit (you could temporarily cable tie it on?) I think the recommendation is 1 2- 15PSI?

With the easibleed connected slacked off every hard line connection (M/C, ABS pump, flexis, rear pressure regulator and calipers) to purge any air trapped, a quarter of a turn is usually enough, retighten and wipe off any expelled fluid. Don't forget to clamp the pressure regulator fully open to give full pressure at the rear brakes Another old trick is to wedge the brake pedal down overnight to help larger bubbles to split and divide to make them easier to dispel

I think 4 cylinder and VR6 ABS pumps have differing numbers of inlet / outlet pipes?

They're as removed so need a good clean and paint. They were from my own car, used by me for 12 months prior to breaking, they come with the banjo bolts, you'll need conversion hoses to fit them. I only sell brake hydraulics on the condition they're inspected or rebuilt before use - I don't want to be responsible for you writing your car off, no warranty implied or given. I'd happily fit them to my own cars though £35 posted with myhermes I can get pics tomorrow

Post 1992 K plate the car has to be fitted with a cat when tested if the car left the factory with one. If you have a post 1992 car and can prove it has an engine fitted that's pre 1991 J plate and older it will be tested as such and wont need a cat.

That's for the correct 6 line set (banjo fittings front and rear), front pair, rear pair and body to rear axle pair, do it once and do it right. Bear in mind the front brakes you remove will sell on as G60 spec calipers and carriers £30 - £60 to get some of your money back and the rears will also sell for £20 or so if fully functional? Its a no brainer to upgrade IMO

Open the throttle with your hand to see if its pedal or cable related. If the cable is seizing check the engine earth is in good condition

G60 engine loom / 1.8T engine loom I have a scruffy G60 loom - the tape is hanging off so an easy dissemble project. I also have a full car loom from a 2002 Octavia with an AUM drive by wire 1.8T engine, this was carefully removed from my own daily driver, all plugs were marked up before removal to help with the conversion. I've listed them together as they'd be ideal for sending off for a conversion (or a DIY project) whilst keeping your own car on the road for as long as possible.
