I've suggested to Tempest we announce the venue given the feedback on here. He had, quite fairly I felt, suggested he keep the date to be announced in the next issue of the club magazine but I don't reckon that'll be till about February. Watch this space.

Yep.. I had to do some modifications to get through the MOT this year. Am out at the minute but will post up details / links later when I get home.

Nice spot! :)

I totally agree with what you're saying and I do understand James's point of view entirely. There are a fairly dedicated bunch from the north (such as yourself and VAG_hag) who make the effort to come to quite a few events in the south. And you're absolutely right - if we did find it was more northern members making the trip up to the meets, I've no doubt we'd look to relocate things like the National Day further up north. James - we're trying our best to cater for the majority of members. This is the logical thing to do. If we were a money making business, we'd position ourselves where we could sell things to the most customers. That's just common sense. We're trying our best, and I'm sorry that's not good enough.

Was going to say the same thing, but didn't want to be the prophet of doom. I'd be expecting nearer £100, such is the way VW just seem to pluck prices out of thin air these days :(

I'm leaving it up to Eric mate.. it's his idea to do this secret thing, and it wouldn't be fair of me to jump the gun. We'll release information soon :)

It's just a bit of fun! In terms of doing them in the North - my memory is hazy, I'm pretty sure we did a Northern National Day some years back after much protestation about a lack of events up north.. and attendance was not exactly great. The majority of our membership is in the south of England so it makes the most sense to do the meets fairly centrally for that reason. We've got to be sensible and cater for the majority of members, the majority of the time.

That the pipe that splits off and goes to the header tank? Seems to be a popular one to go and I think it's quite expensive..... still at least it's one of the easier ones to get at :)
-
Could be any of one of them - I'd just pop the bonnet and have a look around. Should be pretty obvious where it went if you had plumes of steam :) Various hoses still available from VW but they're not cheap - might be time to fork out for a set from the chaps at Roose Motorsport? After a spirited drive home a few months back I split one of the pipes that connects the crack pipe to the oil cooler. Didn't realise that was to blame and took the front end off assuming it to be the radiator (as the coolant had pooled under the radiator) - only then did I realise what was to blame! So based on that my only tip would be to not ASSUME where the leak is - confirm it's location 100% before spending money on pipes / parts!

I'm kind of surprised Andrew was waiting for leather for so long, just to put it up for sale. I sort of assumed he was keeping it as his own car!

You guys are way off :-)

Welcome to the forum mate :) Look forward to seeing a few pictures!

Mine is my daily driver so yep! Driving the (admittedly short) trip from here in Kenilworth over to my sisters in Kenilworth :) Unlikely I'll spot any fellow Corrado owners on that short drive!

Got to love insurance companies. You dutifully serve the punishment of the ban, and they still refuse to insure you afterwards. Good luck - hope you manage to find an insurer who will help you out!

Nice tip! Certainly an interesting alternative to the Lupo, and Audi TT wipers!

I'm sure he's just joking..

I've seen a few around Kings Lynn, but have also seen a high percentage of 'interestingly modified' ones sporting big spoilers, etc.

Merry christmas everyone :)

Local meet in Birmingham? Post it up on the forum next time! :) Would have been good to come and see a few local Corrado's..
-
No, seems fair enough to put it in here. Cheers mate.

Very nice :) -
Didn't realise they were so well priced. Have to get a set for my VR I reckon as some of my hoses are looking like they're coming to the end of their lives!
