Very nice... always love the standard BBS alloys :) Bet its a bit nippy with all those mods on it!! :)
-
Do you even have a rolling road tuning centre on the isle of man?? :D
-
If you open the bonnet and stand looking at the engine, the earth strap is usually an inch or so wise piece of flat plastic coated cable bolted between the bonnet and the engine bay somewhere near the right hand bonnet lifter / hinge thing. Mine had actually rusted loose at one of the ends and I replaced it.. cost about £8 though.. good old stealer prices!

Its scary cause I was wondering about trying to organise a day at Stealth Racing for the forum, and then this got posted :) Do you have any idea when their rollers are sposed to be up and operational again?

Funnily enough just noticed the same thing on my Citroen, from the same area - rear left hand side of the car. Though its a bit of a squeek crossed with a soft kind of knocking. I've tried to work out what causes it but its a bit of a mystery.. I suspect its something to do with suspension or the beams that link them together because like you say, it only happens on kerbs/bumps or when making progress down some windy roads. Though the disadvantage I have with my car is that the general build quality is rather poor compared to the Corrado and it seems like some body panels are rather flexible - they could just as easily be the cause, and they do make similar sounds when pushed. Sorry its not really a post related to the same car, but I just thought it odd as I get the same problem :)

Yeah.. its a fair point. Can leave it unlocked for now - you can post to let us know how you got on and if the item arrived when expected :)

Could be something like a Powerflow custom fit jobbie?
-
Well when I replaced speakers in my Corrado, all I did was fit some 6x9's to a stealth shelf, then snip the existing cable runs to the rear speakers, and just extend them up to the 6x9's - worked great :)
-
Hm.. well if you were not familiar with the style, its known as DTM - a few exhaust manufacturers make DTM style tips - I believe Scorpion do one?
-
Oh - I totally agree about Speedlines. In fact I like every standard Corrado wheel, so it'd have to be an amazing deal (or forced reason) that saw me change alloys on a Corrado :) Speedlines especially.. they suit the VR6 so well.. just drop the car ~30mm and it looks perfect :)

Go Ant, go!! Get those Azev's dude :D
-
It went for £2,650!! ARRRGHHHH :(
-
It'll be the usual venue for *GM's - The Gaydon National Motor Heritage Museum.. exceptionally good location as its about a 30 minute drive away for me.. just nip up the A46 and then down the M40 for about 15 mins :) As you are a CCGB member, you should get a letter through in the next few days.
-
Bit of an Azev-A fan as well :)
-
I should think so Chris.. no word about cancelling it so i'd say its still go :)
-
I'll definately be going as Gaydon is such a short drive away.. bit of a surprise that Brian Rose left though! :(
-
FFS... ALL the cheap cars come out now! You watch.. there wont be any steals like this when I am shopping for a motor.
-
You sound the same as me.. I love feeling the punch of the car up to about 80.. then I try and tell myself I am being a bit silly and slow down :D
-
God.. I can't wait to get back into Corrado ownership again ;) To be honest, I dont think I ever did that kind of speed in my Corrado.. I just love knowing that the car has the potential to do it :) I think I just value my driving license too much (and my hard work keeping it clean & claim free) to risk getting done by John Q Law... obviously if I got the chance to take my car down an airfield or something, then i'd definately be up for that tho ;)
-
Oooh... groovy... i'll have to keep my eyes peeled for that then. Should be landing on my doormat any day now then! Gotta say though, that PVW Grey Rallye in last months mag was awesome.. the TT wheels really set it off a treat, and the bodywork on it was spot on!!
-
Chris, Well heres one to get you started of your VR6 at Santa Pod much earlier in the year, conveniently resized to be avatar friendly :D

Well this isn't the first time I have heard of problems with this braided brake lines from Goodridge. I remeber John Munyard posting to the eGroup about a bit of a brown trouser moment where one of his Goodridge brake lines split or failed in some way.. just spent about 10 mins hunting for it, but here it is : Maybe some kind of quality issues here?? John mentioned a few months earlier that they were Goodridge so...

I'd very much like to go.. hoping I have a Corrado by then :) I don't know how much the CCGB would want to have a combined stand with us, but its definately worth pursuing!
-
And thats what I love when talking about the Corrado VR6.. you changed into 5th gear at 125MPH.. f'ing awesome IMHO :)

Heh.. did you read the text at the top of the page? The following is not real... but a hope of what may one day come from Volkswagen. Still.. its definately worth having something to day dream about. Problem is, with VW owning so many different manufacturers with such specific roles, I don't think there will ever be a new VW Corrado as we'd expect. I think if anything, it'll be a spiritual successor from someone like Audi or Seat. A lot of people say the Audi TT is supposed to be a successor.. but just about everyone has a bloody TT so I think not :)
