  1. 17" Wheels Clear side repeaters Tinted rear light clusters (blue) Very nice & very, very shiny :)
  2. Those are soooo cool J 8) 8) 8) I'd say their the best wheel for the Volkswagon Corrado. The angles of the spokes, along with the slight dish seem to compliment the C's front wing perfectly.

    Compression on VR6

My car has compression test readings (from its history) ranging from 168 - 190. What that means, I don't know :? Anyone else help?
  4. Does the beeper go when there's high pressure? If so, maybe you should also try & disconnect the 'high pressure wire'. Just a thought for ya... oh & good luck with the rebuild 8)

    Rear brake calipers.

I'd say if you remove the wheel you'll find a loose or missing bolt. Hopefully its just loose so you can re-tighten it.
  6. Good idea Bally, Maybe we could get the twin holders as we have to display the MOT now as well.

    Rear lights again

Cheers guys, At last I'm happy with the exterior of the car (famous last words). No seriously thats it. I'm not doing any more engine up-grades either. I'm just going to settle with the car as it is & spend all my money on keeping it well maintained. :D Heres some more pics I took at the same time..
  8. My first impression was no but, looking again they could grow on me. I think the 'Azev A' or 'Stil Auto' (almost identical) rim look best on a Corrado, although they don't fit the VR. Online wheel suppliers quoted me £126 per rim. HTH
  9. Very nice Szarky. Thats not a lot of kilometers for a well looked after VR. Like the all red taillights very much 8) Do all Canadian Corrado's have those headlight washers?

    need help?

I'd say it would fit. You'd probably have to remove the bottom plastic section & just use the knob & leather gaitor. Thats just my opinion btw, Taking a chance on it I suppose depends on how much its gonna cost!
  11. Very clean indeed Spoier 8) Whats the green cable with the spade connector for?
  12. I removed all the manufacturers writing on the light clusters & polished them up. Then I applied 3.5mm black stripes along the non-reflective lines in the lights. I used a matt black vinyl which matches the original light surround nicely. As I stuck the vinyl on the sort of non reflective part of the lights it has no visible effect on the indicator brightness. Passed MOT last Friday no problem :D Shout out to John J who sold me his old clusters 8)
  13. Thats much cheaper than I thought :D I think I'll put one of those on my list of things to get. 8)
  14. Thats cool to see 8) It doesn't look that complicated. I have a laptop so, what else do I need & how much will it cost. Cheers
  15. I have to say, putting these 16" wheels on has given the car a new lease of life. The 205 x 45mm profile tyres gives that little bit of extra comfort without loosing performance. They just feel right :D The rolling radius of the wheels is almost identical to the original set-up & this gives many benefits including; The speedometer is now reading correctly. The gearing is the same as original therefore the car is not slowed up as before with the 17"s. This set-up is now perfect for the corrado's running gear i.e. bushings, alignment etc. There's a fair bit of protection from the 45mm tyres (no more swerving around like a mad man avoiding potholes) I'd say its easily the best mod I've done :D
  16. Yes, they are different but I think the aftermarket wheels can be made with a double fitment. I was told that the holes in the wheel are slightly ovaled so as to fit on both makes. Mine are made in Italy btw, & I didn't notice any oval on them.
  17. Having toothed belts & pulleys makes so much sense, you'd think it should have been used years ago. No stopping you now Ant :) P.S. Did you get your other little problem with the broken bits sorted?

    Broken Heater Control

Hi Sonic, welcome to the forum. Sounds like the cable has come away from the control at the back. When you remove the controls theres a series off white plastic cogs, there will be a cable connected to one of the cogc that will control the air direction. You may be able to fix it although this is unlikely. If not you can go to a scrap yard & take the heater controls from a '91-'95 Passat. The controls are almost identical & according to 'Kev' (on this forum) you can fit them into the corrado set-up. Good luck

    Black VR in PVW

It looks ok in the picture. I haven't seen the PVW yet for a closer look although, on closer inspection (or in real life) that sort of work is usually a bit suspect. Not for me... thanks!
  20. Thats unbelievable. He must have stuck the mesh on with 'Blu Tack'. If you look real close you can see he has carefully painted the air vents YELLOW to match the seat covers. 8)
  21. I see what you mean Janes, a huge sunroof would be cool. It might also do-away with the current sunroof problems..

    G60 vs VR6

I think VW already answered this question during 1992
