Most of the Sony stereos supplied in VW's had the VW badge on them too - normally on the tape 'flap' bit IIRC...

plenty wrong with my C unfortunately... over fueling duff metering head we think. Had the cam chain and all belts done before RTTS as it was running really badly this sorted it for three days and then it went back to how it was before... so it went back to get sorted... it's now been three weeks since and it's still not sorted :mad: poped down a few times in the week to remind myself what it looks like... oh how I miss my car :cry: mind you I wouldn't want it back if it was still running like a dog...

Mine doesn't go down untill I'm doing less than 7 or 8mph (rough guess but I really have to be crawling) - does this mean that there are different lowering speeds too?

Steve I have an early spec bumper on the fromt of my late C - so I guess you'll be fine... (early bumper just sitts about 5mm in of the wheel arch on both sides but not really noticable)

Missing mine too... its been at the garage for nearly 3 weeks now!!!

dinkus, does that have the auto volume feature on it? would be worth keeping as will add value to car for a collector in years to come... wouldn't mind seeing a pic if poss as I always wondered what would have been in mine from new?

FK and InPro do them and you can get em in (M3 style) red/white, red/smoke, clear and black. Prices start at about £160 and go upto £250 depending where you get em from.

E30 M3 for balls out fun or a Leon Cupra R for um.... balls out fun :D Both great cars imo, it depends whether it'll be your every day car or a weekend toy...

Found somewhere in Reading that did these a while ago... they look bl**dy good on an audi but not sure how well they suit the C :? Do the TT versions have more of a dish?

most anoying thing with mine is the metal clips on the drivers window seal that rub on the glass scratching it quite badly when opening and closing... anyone else with this problem?

Don't like the arches either, mirrors aren't that great and I'm not keen on the wheels... but otherwise it's a nice looking C :D

Had the same problem with mine when I first got it and after replacing the spark plugs and leads it stopped - I just have lots of other problems now! :lol: If it's not that then I would try running some injector cleaner through it (also did that to mine and it seemed to help a bit) Good luck getting it sorted Phil Welcome to the forum BTW

Bonnet release is a smallish lever on the right hand side of the drivers footwell... well at least it should be :?

:shock: by crikey, thats a mess - looks like you've got a bit of a project on your hands... hope you work it all out! How much did you get the VR for if you don't mind me asking?

Hmmm, does it run to the front or the back of the car? Do your windows and central locking work? Without seeing what the connector looks like it's hard to tell... it could be something simple like a lead that went to a multi disk changer that has been semi ripped out by a previous owner... Sorry have just read that back to myself and it doesn't really help much does it :roll: :wink: :lol:

People who know me will vouch for the fact that mine has deffo been off the road more than on... it's an abosoute nightmare! But for a 10 year old car with 5 previous owners I should have been prepared for this I suppose! I still love my C though and wouldn't wish to be behind the wheel of anything else of the same age (super cars excluded) Guess that I'm lucky that my C is only a weekend toy and I have a "reliable" modern car for everyday use :D

Is that an aftermarket sunroof i can see the edge of? Roof lining looks cool though 8)
