Can you put any pics up for the uneducated - like me
-
I'm glad that there aren't too many places that have a name describing their exact location cos I'd live at: Double gabled house of Philip in dip next to cherry blossom and rapid corrado near the old road of Merrow yonder oak tree glade!
-
Saw Chris CORRADO on way back down A3 from London yesterday... looking very nice mate and still clean from N/R
-
where as paving slabs wont leave any mess  I'm not helping am I!
-
aahhhhemmm is that block paving I see in the background  getting my coat now

I don't bother wth it any more but have this month (wonder why?) There seems to be a distinct lack of C's in there... just reading the review of inters, there aren't any pics of the CCGB line up or anything else (except JR's) So it would appear that they generally don't like corrados and they call it PERFORMANCE vw

I'm running Avon 195 50 15 VZ1's (or is it ZV?) on my G60 BBS rims... there seems to be some mixed opinoins on these tyres but I'm very impressed with them - lots more grip than I ever experienced with the Continentals that I had on there before! The overall opinion seems to be that the Avons are great in the dry but not so good in the wet... IMO there great in the wet too! and at around £55 per corner they won't break the bank :D

Sorry bit of a dull one but - There's a light in the roof of the glove box... didn't notice this until I'd had the C for 6 months. Heated mirrors and washer jets come on with the rear screen (not that you'll need them at this time of year) There seems to be three different speeds that activate rear spoilers... is it 45mph on early types and 56 on the later ones? HiAsAKite (on here) has a german import VR and his spoiler goes up at 80!!! I guess it's probably fairly ineffective at less than that and orriginaly designed for the Auto-bahn hence the higher speed?

Nice one, look forward to reading it - about time we saw some more raddos in the press :D
-
Hmmm, pull it apart and check the wires with a multi-meter to see if there is any power coming through - best was to find the cause.

Think they look great as they are (maybe with out the gold though) Only way to umproove would be to go with black centers, think that would really set them off...
-
EEEEK! thats not good! good excuse to fit a late spec bonnet now though
-
Hell yeah! :D

I'd rather not think about how much my C (read - money pit) has cost me since I've owned it... most of this has been spent on trying to keep it on the road! My last bill was for £903 just to get it running properly. Money well spent? Hell no, 600 miles and it's f'ked again - going back to the garage on monday! If it hadn't cost me so much already this year I'd be ready to cut my loses and sell/scrap it :(

Does it turn on at the switch? As it may just be a faulty door switch... if it isn't working at all then I guess it could be fuse related, has anything else stopped working? I would have thought that if it was a fuse then your map light and sunroof may be on the same circuit... HTH

 Thanks mate

Well after weeks of my C being off the road again I'll have her back and running sweet! Have just had the cam chain, cam belt, tappets, power steering belt, alternator belt changed plus oil change, new filter and a full tune up... all for just over £900 (and this place only charges £30 per hour) As some of you will no my car has spent more time off the road than on it since I've owned it - which I find suprising as it had only done 69K when I got it! It has had 5 previous owners though and my guess is that they all ragged the hell out of her... has anyone else suffered as many problems with a valver? Went down this evening for peace of mind as I need to drive down to Cornwall tomorrow night for RTTS was pleased to see that she's been cleaned and polished ready for me in the morning :D
-
Cheers Tazkenny 8) , have polished it as far as it will go. Photo doesn't really do it justice... but there's a lot of discolouration in the alu that just won't polish out! I think the choming route is the best option and will polish it more before I hand it over... So next question is - Does anyone know of any good chromers(?) in the SE??? Plus - any costing ideas are welcome :?:
-
To compare to a newer car- my Peugeot 406 1.8 16V (X reg - face lift model) gets 42.2MPG at a steady 80... looking forward to comparing this to the C when I get it back tomorrow :D
-
LOL they've made two pages of insults and still haven't realised that it's a joke... who are the morons now!!!!
-
Nice pics Dan, shame I didn't make it, could have got a lift with HiAsAKite if I'd thought about it  : ... will be there next time and will have the C running by then!
-
TBH I'd have thought this wouldn't be the best place to show C enthusiasts a pic of a bargain, clean looking C costing only £2K that was about to be broken! However you say that something special will happen with the rolling shell so I look forward to seeing the results :D
-
thought the rears looked wider in the shots - could be wrong though?
-
It's a very special sound 8)

Gpc have the prices round the wrong way I think... meant to be £60 fir the large ones and £30 for the small IIRC Looking sweet Majik, Lupo wipers? What width are your rims front and back?
