IIRC there's 3 bulbs that light the dials... I lost the middle one in mine and have bodged a bulb in so that it still lights the center dial. It's slightly dimmer but it actually looks better IMO :D

Welcome to the forum Fairzy, and enjoy your C

cheers for the help chaps... went down again this evening to see what the state of play is. Basicly the 1.8 snapped it's belt whilst staitionary so there's hope that there's minimal damage. Will prob just try to sort that engine as I don't like the idea of having to do a complete swap... there's some good money to be made here and I need to do somethng to raise some cash as I have to pay for all the work on mine... which currently has severe electrical problems leaving it unroadworthy! :(

Cheers Henny, have just dropped my C down there to (hopefully) get it fixed properly this time and have had a chance to have a look at the pair. The black one really is in good condition so depending on how much damage the engine has I might be able to replace the head and have it running again. The green one is a sorry sight... has been spun causing considerable damage to he front cross member, bonnet, wing, and rear pannel. It would cost a lot to fix! I think my best plan would be to leave both cars as they are - sort the head on the 1.8 and break the 2.0 :D

Right I have just got the news this afternoon that I have free access to a barn with power... the reason this news is good is that I could potentialy get my hands one: 1x M reg Metalic Green 2.0 16V only 60K on the engine but with front end damage and slight rear 1x H reg Black 1.8 16V complete and in good condition but has a f'ked engine (cam belt snapped) Basic idea is to make one good car out of the two and break the other... I only have evening and weekends to do the work but have an experienced electician (not an auto electrician though) that is very willing to help do the project with me. Just wanted to ask a few questions in reference to this before I jump in... 1. Given the amount of free time I have how much time should I be prepared to have to put in? 2. I've not done anything like this before so would it be a good learning project or could I be biting off more than I can chew? 3. How much am I likely to be able to sell a low milage H reg Black 2.0 16V with late spec interior for? Any constructive advice and help would be appreciated Cheers Phil

Looks the same as the prototypes that Karman (or was it Zenda?) made... Never went into production though so the few that exist a f'kin rare - suprised that's not been locked away in a museum!!!

Ride height on that C looks the same as the landy

I have no idea... thats just what they quoted me. I guess not many people have cat 2 fitted so they buy in when they need them
-
Well, it's not the best news I'm afraid... they only do one cat 2 imob and that they get that trade for just under £120 so with fitting you're looking at the special "for Phil" price of £150. They can do you a Cat 1 Alarm and Imobiliser for just shy of £350 and that would be Cobra or Sigma. I've got the Sigma system and it's a good one i.e. I haven't had it stolen yet  (also gives you full closure) Sorry the prices aren't any better, I can vouch for the quality of their work though so maybe worth the extra... PM if any of this is of interest. Phil
-
I'll head down after lunch... you want a price for a cat 2 immobiliser right?
-
It's to let the brain know when a spark goes to 1 or 4 (i forget which) or something to do with that anyway... iIf you disconect it when the engine is running you'll find it upsets the idle. f you're changing the leads anyway then have a good go at getting it off the orriginal lead... I think one of the ends should come off letting you remove it. Good luck
-
Hey, don't know if this helps much but I know some of the lads at Ian Bannings in Guildford... they did me a good deal on my cat 1 alarm and immobiliser last summer... could pop down tomorrow and get you a price if you want?
-
Welcome to the forum... ad congrats from leaving the world of the rice mobile  My C is a valver so I'm not in the best position to suggest engine mods. However I recomend swapping the wipers to Lupo ones as the o/e ones are sh1te... http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... &start=140 This is the link for the correct part numbers (second post down) I've gone for this exact set up and OMG it's soooo much better :D Hope your new C brings you many miles of balls out fun

Thise grills are the worst thing you can do to a C IMO... -
When I insured mine last year I was told that it was group 16 for a 2.0 16V...
-
My C feels like it's towing a house STILL. I have no power untill its on cam and even then it's crap... top speed the other night for me was 80  It's going straight back to the garage (AGAIN) on monday if the body work wasn't in such good condition I'd have kicked it several times by now
-
looks sweet mate... nice to see a c add without it stating "active real spoiler" as though it is an option  bet you can't wait to get it home and introduce it to the VR :D

Looks nice mate... grey is the best colour for a dub if you ask me  -
Just don't connect the blue/white (IIRC) wire that is for the auto sound level function.. would have thought that power and speaker cables would be as normal?
-
how much did they set you back if you don't mind me asking?
-
They look sweeeet mate... 8) one of the rims that I'd seriously like to put on mine. They totaly transform the look of your car - although I think it looked just as good with the BBS

Anyone else here have 'Dark Green' Corrado? (Code LD6U)
Phil K replied to kvwloon's topic in General Car Chat
think thats the nicest shade of green (a sort of greeny grey?) haven't seen that before... My C is pearl grey and that seems to be pretty rare too 8)
