  1. That was my job the weekend just gone - it flew off on the Thursday  Quality
  2. Funny how a lot of people have gone toward the S3 and the LCR isn't considered - OK I know it's still only fwd but having owned mine for 4 months I can't fault the performance and handling for a reliable, modern daily hack! AFAIK The front suspension etc is S3 derived while the back end is more mk4 Golf - either way I'm shredding tyres and loving the experiance 8) Thinking about going for a stage 1 chip at some point but needing to save cash for the house at the moment...
  3. different! not sure it works though...
  4. Looks sweet! Could the front sit a touch lower?
  5. Cheers Dinky  They're my choice to a certain extent but all approved by her - the car belongs to both of us so it would be unfair to do anything to it that she didn't like... I originaly wanted to put crystal cross hair lights on but they didn't get the vote so plain crystal ones it is! As for the wheels they're mine and I have bought them with the intention of only really putting them on and using them for shows/meets but can get away with the odd week or so before having to go back to the Castelets (sp?)
  6. Few more pics from todays wash and wheel change 8)
  7. I used the AG hood cleaner and restorer - £20 from Halfords... works well! The water was very dark green after I had finished! Wouldn't say it looks as new but it's really made a difference!

    Design 90's

If you do go for a dark powder coat then I'd personaly get the lips diamond cut or polished to give you a bit of definition when they're on the car - all black rims look seriously poop IMO... Just make sure they're laquered so you don't need to worry about maintaining the shine - you could even have the whole rim diamond cut or polished and have them laquered if thats what you're after?
  9. Looks good buddy.. what was the sellers reserve? ;)
  10. Not especially tbh... the cab and leon more than make up for it with power / handling and you get just as many looks 8) I'd like to get a VR one day but it's a way off yet...
  11. Well it's been a good ol' day in Golf land... MOT time! Never a good thing when a car is still new to you but with a little effort it's there and passed 8) I needed to fit new front pads, headlights and number plate and as luck would have it there were some tasty crystal items to hand! Big thanks to Tim and the lads down at The Phirm for helping me out today and putting up with my eternal borrowing requests 8) With a bit of luck we'll have some sunshine tomorrow and I'll get the schmidts back on for some more pics...
  12. Yeah, very nice motor Neil! Gonna have to pop over one evening for a closer look! 8)
  13. think even 5mm spacers and you're pushing your luck tbh... take a wheel off and have a look at how much bolt sticks through the rimto get an idea of how much you have to play with...
  14. side exit looks damn good IMO 8)
  15. You can buy them new too but they're not cheep... why not try giving stealth or The Phirm a call to see if they can source one? In many ways you'd be better off going for a stand alone injection system (like megasquirt) and get rid of the standard set up all together as (IMO) it's cr4p and a royal PITA when it goes wrong... Best of luck whatever you do :)
  16. Should be easy to find - I had to find at least 3 or 4 while I had my C! Try looking for 2.0 16V Passats in scrapyards and stick wanted threads on every forum you can think of and one will turn up! The 9A's metering unit is the weakest link with that engine so if you can find a couple it's worth keeping one spare...
  17. G60SC_Stoney, I seem to recall telling you to shut it  Click on my sig pic and you'll find pics of my old C - had Porsche cup 3's on it and looked sweet (IMO) 8) Like the 928's on yours and I agree with the above - you need clear repeaters not smoke ;)
  18. Sounds promising ;)
  19. Good job - wanna come and do my 20V tea?
  20. What did it cost? (if you don't mind me asking?)
  21. yeah not a rivage - seller may not realise though as it is green and that was a Rivage colour
  22. I'd give it a try... don't think 10 would be enough!
  23. mtc R32, don't know about 16's but the 15's seem fine - hard to tell with out driving it yet but it all looks as though there's plenty of clearence - should have them on properly by this evening so will let you know later! Sounds like you're thinking of D90's to me  Thanks Jon - you had to blow my big E38 show car suprise
