    Tyre stretches

Mine are 195 on an 8'' rim... not overly stretched but look better in real life than they do in the pics! Not sure the choice in tyres is all that good but they were on the rims when I got them and I'm not changing them until they're dead
  2. i've just put a set of Ferodo DS2500's on the Leon and they're amazing - so much better than the OE pads... could be worth a try?
  3. owner is/was a member on here - prob not been on for a long time but I recall seeing his car in a members gallery thread at some point! Not a fan of the look either nor would I want to drive a C on 19'' rims
  4. Hi and welcome! Have you thought about sticking a 1.8T in it?
  5. Very nice, but.. (and it's only a small one) your Borbets will only look good when they have flat center caps IMHO ;)
  6. Very nice looking mate! Whats the damage on one of them if you don't mind me asking?
  7. Have been thinking about one of these myself as a replacement for the Golf in a year or so... prices seem good at the moment and better value than the Lupo GTI 8)

    Wheel Colour Q?

Black w/green outers looks sweet IMO 8)
  9. Looks good - I say keep the wheels silver - Anthracite just makes them look like they need a wash IMHO
  10. Loving the red one! Looks like a good meet even if the weather was bad - looks a lot like the UK in that pic
  11. gutted for you Rog! Let me know if you want a hand removing/replacing the damaged bits...
  12. It's a bit of a trek (straight down the A3 to Hindhead) but The Phirm (clicky) are well worth it! They have to be one of the best VW specialists in the south and have done all the work on my cars over the last couple of years 8)
  13. 'lo and welcome 8)
  14. utter madnes
  15. AFAIK Brentacre are just the broker so it won't be them that are causing you the greif - I would imagine that Claimtec are your insurers and by all accounts seem like a bunch or ass! I insure my cars through Brentacre and haven't had any problems but then I haven't had to make a claim :S Stick to your guns and I'm sure they'll give up in the end - just don't except a payment with no buy back unless it's for enough to make it well worth your while...
  16. Until you except their payment the car is still legally yours surely! I would not for one second except the 'it's policy' carp they're feeding you - take some legal advice and get YOUR car back! Who are the insurers by the way?
  17. Ask for a pair in the Dealers?
  18. I'm also liking that! Would look good with the roof done too... something different in a good way (not that the whole car isn't quite different) 8)
  19. Cheers for all the suggestions - plenty to look into now! Must say that rally driving appeals a lot - I'll get that clipboard ready for you next time you're in my car Andi  Wanted to come to Le Mans this year Wendy but finances were the main problem (although I was offered a last minute ticket and had to say no to it as I was already commited to cycling the London to Brighton  ) Have every intention of coming next year though :D
  20. Well sadly it's gonna be my 30th in just a few months and I have been thinging about what would make it a day to remember (apart form the obvious!) I'd like to go on a driving day and have had a look at a few options but am a bit unsure about what's going to be the best value for money! My father is doing a Caterham experience day next month and that looks like it'd be pretty good - plenty of time driving and a full day of it too! Some of these deals don't seem to offer all that much time in the drivers seat so obviously I'm looking for something which will put me behind the wheel of something really cool, will give me some good tuition and won't cost the earth! Any ideas much appreciated 8)
  21. no problems with the build quality on mine - although it's older than mine and is also the 210bhp version so may have the odd rattle or 2 here and there! I wouldn't even consider the Golf though tbh - these cars have so much potential plus, how often do you see a Cupra compared to a sporty(ish) mk4?
  22. Yes and yes - although I need to re-claim it off a mate first! WIll give him a buzz later and make sure he can bring it over or I can pop round for it :)
  23. Looks good! Have you thought about spacing the rear wheels out a bit?
