Just had a read, quality work and a lot of effort 👍

What's the worst workmanship you've found in your C?
Cressa replied to Stone0311's topic in General Car Chat
Ha ha, this could be a good thread. The twat that badly fitted the New windscreen into the freshly painted car. It sat up in the corners and had dropped down. I paid to have it removed, re do the paintwork, new seals then refitting... oh I wish you hadn't reminded me of this 🤬🤬🤬 The wan##r is still fitting Windscreens surprisingly!!! 🤣🤣 -
I cant believe you got rid... shame but atleast you got it back
-
I've found the broken fog light. Will get a pic up later for you ✔
-
Immobiliser maybe..... do the wires go off to the fuel pump?
-
Seems strangely botched together instead of having the proper plugs
-
Correction... I stuck the relays to the front of the battery as shown in the picture
-
I've attached a picture the uprated loom. I removed the front grille and tyrapped it out the way to the bottom of the slam panel. Quick, easy and more importantly to me is that you dont see it. The relays I have stuck to the front of the battery inside the battery jacket. Again you dont notice it, but I will try and get a pic posted. As for the schrick, you've seen my reservoir position. As Dox mentioned, the brake servo is a good idea and one I wanted to try. I extended my wires to the switching unit and hid it up next to the ecu.

Ooooo a rare gem. Be interesting to see what it goes for. And then to see it up for sale again a month later for 5k more 😇
-
😲😲 selling, noooo way 🤣 I totally get your reasons. Big decision tho 👍
-
Where are you and what manual are you looking at. We only had ABV engines in the Corrado. Mk3 golfs got the AAA
-
You've lost me Dox.... I was just showing a picture of the cleaned reservoir for my mk1. Hoping that the corrado one will clean up just as well
-
🙈 great list Dox 🤣
-
🤣🤣 both beat me. Although the wheels reminded me that I have had some BBS split rims for nearly 2 yrs too....
-
Definitely friction fit, ridiculous really. Well done in also having this cover. I wonder what else I have missing 😂
-
Today got me thinking. I paid daft money (£30) for a square piece of plastic to fit over some relays. I had it 6 weeks b4 I fitted it. It took less than 30 seconds to fit 🤣🤣🤣😜 why did it take sooo long So, tell us your crazy story....what is it....how much was it....... how long have you had it...... fitted or not fitted..... why/why Not.... Cmon people 😁
-
I finally managed to have some Corrado time so set about doing the little jobs. Finally changed the NOS number plate light that Santa brought me Fitted a cover to the diavia aircon relays that I got off of a breaker. I never new this part existed!! And took all of 30 seconds to push on 😂. I've only had it 6 weeks....( that gives me an idea for a thread) Moved back the drivers door trim a couple of millimeters. It was just catching the front wing somehow, but sorted now To do:- • Screw the cupholder into position • Trim the bonnet more as it is catching on the Schrick still • Find a picture of the spring that is in the top adjustable steering wheel cover. So I can get mine to work... Get her out for a de-dusting and well needed clean
-
Pretty much all you said above, and a broken up dishwasher tablet works well too. 👌
-
I cleaned the one off my bloody mk2 the other day and amazingly it came up looking great. 36yrs old. So I may have to try the same on the Corrado
-
Sounds easy enough, thanks. Just be nice to see it. I did just look in the Bentley bible, but no help on that one I will have a look through all my bits and bobs to see if I actually have the part....
-
Clam shell.... ha ha so true .I can't properly see the top adjustable part on the pictures And it's a shame they are NLA as i would happily replace them I assume if anything makes the top flap stay up it only comes complete with a new item. Unless the flap is supposed to fit into the bottom the dash somehow. I'll keep googling. Cheers for looking 👍
-
ha ha, yes. On the late modesl with the adjustable height steering rack. I assume it must cover below the speedo dash area when the steering wheel is put at its lowest position and the flappy bit stays up..
-
Thar would make sense. Does anyone have a picture this.... I can't even find it on Etka 😡 Typical, that a simple corrado job kicks me in the b#lls
-
Just getting round to putting my steering column trim back on, now that I have the correct screws. It got me thinking.... the top part has a flap on it. Should there be something that keeps this pushed upwards when the steering column is lowered. Mine just sits flat, always has!
