Its a mini ecu that reads the revs off the main ecu - when it detects 4000 revs it triggers a signal to a vacuum bottle that is part of the Schrick kit- the bottle then releases vacuum pressure to a solenoid on top of the schrick which is attached to a flap in the schrick (solenoid has a rod attached to the flap which lifts it to move) which when moves changes the size of the inlet runners therefore achieving best torque throughout the range - you can set the mini ecu to also trigger the flap at any revs but 4000 revs is the recommended setting. That is my understanding of it anyway.
  2. One thing to note here is that fresh engine mounts can raise the engine and rub on the corner of the schrick if you dont cut enough away - you can sort of see my cut out here but can take a better picture if needs be,

    Beautiful alloys feel your pain = These are the spec that fit a corrado BBS RS 301 sizes are 17×7.5″ +33 PCD 5×100. The BBS RS- they are hard to find and fetch 3k they are rare fitment because most RS went onto BMW E30 . What stud pattern are yours do you have adapters as well .     You dont want to put smaller callipers on full stop imo - if they are genuine RS then I understand your dilemma- if they are reps get rid- if they are genuine sell them and make up the money and get correct fitment. I also imagine you could change the barrels to change the offsets perhaps but not to clued up on splits.

  7. Probably are but they are only interested in the fronts. Lucas 280 mm. Im having a pre spring cleanout cant move in my shed and get the lawn mower out. Have early slam panels and a 16v , red one is mint if anyone interested - £50.00 each Shaun have you still got your aquablue paint tag for inside fender the orange tab- I have one here you can have next time I have to see you 😂

I just sold a set of un refurbished front and rear 280 mm vr6 callipers - or as Dox said known as the g60 upgrade in the MK2 world- as soon as I listed them for £120 the mk2 boys were fighting over them - must of priced them cheap as sold within 5 minutes. That will pay a good chunk for my Topran radiator on the way from Amazon . I could of used them on my 16v but the brakes work fine car weighs a feather and I don't track. If anyone else has any - Vincent parts will give you £120 - his on facebook and will arrange a courier to collect.

It does- looks to me like it might have all ready been the start of a breakers car - that water sitting on the concrete would evaporate up through the floor pan- i hope the buyer is Freddy Flintstone. The charger is worth good money but I wouldn't be surprised if one of the causes of the car been left was that the supercharger has grenaded(does say removed from engine bay)- even for a breakers car early parts are just not worth as much and seriously £1200 is the max I would give for a car to break - time is money breaking and so is collection on trailer . Also you would really want a leather interior and late fogs and lights to recoup your money sharpish. I have broke one car that was rotted but it was to keep the hard to find parts fogs- lights etc - I wouldn't really be looking to do it again as could earn more doing my own trade then breaking.

  14. I have fired the gun and purchased the amazon radiator for the greater good of my ocd - getting delivered on Tuesday will report back. If its not 34mm will be going straight back for sure. Front ends got to come off anyway if it is a mythical Hella rad.

  16. Another thing I have noticed is the Dasis has 17 coolant channels but they seem larger I think with a bigger gap then the Hella which has 23 or 24 tighter together- will have to wait for a really hot day next summer to give it a proper test.
  17. Just out of interest there is a box you can send with mis described item - so I sent that over saying Hella picture but Nissens in description please confirm manufacturer - see if we hear back off them .
  18. Im hoping the plug and pins are the same on the hella fan mate. Can see the lugs on your plug that should be on mine. The onlt difference I can see is setting 3 on the Hella has 450 and the stock motor ending with J is 350 . If it only has three pins could it just still work the same I wonder?

  21. Its on the car and just measured best I could the core is 24 mm - so youre right on that chap - i take it that is the depth of the top of the metal fin frame. Pissed off now not as if I had a lot of choice at the time but does annoy the shite out of me 😅 .
  22. To add the other belt driven fan is still available from classics for £160.00 - im feeling to poor to buy that - aftermarket is very thin on the ground with every option showing out of stock .
  23. Here is mine ending with J on another etka platform - Im noticing 7 zap etka has many parts missing off their platform so be carful using it. One observation is stage 3 power is 350 ending with J but on the Hella they give you the uprated power of the ABV with power 450 which is good I guess. You can still get the ABV ending with L from classics for ABV but is £360 nippers - maybe this one is for tow and aircom with but more top power - although as mentioned Hella are giving this on their unit.
  24. Looking at the rated power spec on Hella has 450/ 250/80 does that mine stage 3. Description below on photos and etka cant see a fan J on the end though just L - but has same ratings as the Hella.
