Looking at the Cosworth seats I imagine they will sit far to high and wide, also base frame will not be compatible with a Corrado I guess- its a bugger seeing how cheap they go compared to Corrado ones.
-
I need to swap manufacturer ! There to nice to strip.

Look how cheap cosworth recaro seats go for grrrrr. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/sierra-cosworth-leather-recaro-seats/303545802666?hash=item46acbd5faa:g:fRcAAOSwMmhencLq

Thanks mate looking forward to getting it on the car when I finally get her back. They do it in this version as well- costs a bit more but also NOS, Renewart could make a VW motor emblem and you flick out the original decal. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Personal-Nardi-Fittipaldi-leather-steering-wheel-350mm-NOS-SUPERB-8B/163093725400?epid=24020427102&hash=item25f924c0d8:g:RYgAAOSw0J9bI70R

It says Fittipaldi a famous race driver. Imagine this wheel with some black Recaro- just what the doc ordered!

Nardi Personal Anyone looking for a steering wheel , I really can say this is the most amazing steering wheel I have ever owned, I received it today , it is around 5mm smaller than the stock wheel- Leather quality is superb and nice and chunky with a deep black colour. NOS only one left - you can get the Nardi hub kit from driftwort. 4370.95.5407 fits all corrado. Picture below gives it no justice. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Personal-Nardi-Fittipaldi-leather-steering-wheel-350mm-NOS-SUPERB-8A/153050492004?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

Lovely to see a Corrado in this condition - looks great in red ! Is that a remote garage door switch behind the sunroof switch ?
-
You cant get it mate its a pain in the butt. What most people do is replace the fuse on the resitor and all is good. The LHD resistor is still available but annoyingly not the RHD side.

Mate thanks PM me if you want a set and I can can drop the details- not that Im interested in selling them but they will hugley increase the value of the alloys- we all know how this vag classic world works.

I have an Auntie and Uncle who lives in Toronto and was lucky enough to visit when I was 11, everything was so abundant there - we stayed at their lake house for a weekend and it was amazing, water skiing - fishing fish a cast - huge portions of food - wildlife- think the only negative things are the winter and long work hours and less holiday. Seems like on an average salary you can have a great standard of living without the high crime rates of the USA.

Yes Tanya at Listers will post and also has a ham cheese accent which is a huge bonus. . Will help if you have the part numbers at hand when phoning. Details last few posts.

OK thought I would update this. As above link seller off ebay in Poland cannot give a reference as have never used him. Does have a 100 percent feedback though to be fair to them. This is the email I received off them with costs. So just to go over they will be manual Recaro seats and you can choose any leather colour etc or cloth - or combo. If you decide to go with this I suggest that you study a Recaro stock seat and instruct the trimmer how many stitch patterns in backrest and seat (think its 4) and also the location of the recaro emblem on the backrest- then you will have a great replica. If you do the maths it is not far off the price off a second hand set of stock Recaro or even more expensive minus the electric adjustments, however will be brand new, his seats do look excellent quality. So possibly tatty but with electrical movement (might have heat or not)- hard to source v new and manual + heat- you decide !!! If you do have a stock set of leather they sell for good money so could also use that to fund the commision which makes the commision a little bit more desirable. Recaro direct are making classic LS but without seat bases and electrics- looking at 4K for a set off them, so not a route I would go for personally. If you scroll through the picture on this link you'll see a light tan set just alike to the Corrado Recaro. Hope this helps would love to see someone or myself go for it. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RECARO-LS-LSb-seats-the-Pair-Leather/264529584394?hash=item3d9731210a:g:kq8AAOSwSK9dyWxf

My local dealer is Johnsons and they have a crap rep and do the bare minimum I will be using Listers again as well mate - Im not leasing at the moment but I know from the past that Listers Stratford Upon Avon do by far the best competitive VW lease in the UK from the dealers , few years back they were doing a new GTI for £160.00 a month from memory.
-
Im hoping this is the case.
-
Nice work that will look so much better then the cheap plastic crap.
-
Good luck Geri, you can only give it a go as you say been on a long time but worth a shot.
-
Want to be careful a rodent don't chew on it mate if keeping in an outbuilding - to valuable these days. My garage is spotless and a little hairy shit chewed some of my boiler pipe work insulation the other day.
-
Nice mate some of the best quality steering wheels ever made IMO.
-
Here are some more cool ones. Hella Momo Votex VWMS italovanti
-
Did the raid one have 16V red emblem by chance Dox ? Are you sure that was not an Italovanti as well ? Pictures attached below. I know the 4 spoke Italovanti you owned bloody lovely - both appeared in a VW accessories brochure mate and you could order from the dealers. These are the two Im thinking of buying either one. The one with the decal I could get someone to make me a badge for a tenner- VWMS something to them lines. Im 100 percent changing my wheel for me its the ugliest thing on the car and the main contact. Agree don't like the racing bolt type to agriculture for what is meant to be a sporty luxury coupe.

Well the new retro line they cost silly money like 4 K a set as I spoke to the UK dealer in Recaro. There is a seller on ebay from Poland who will supply and trim a set of LS that look exactly the same and reckons he can sort out the seat bases none electric - at the end of it wont be far off a set of stock Recaro seats and will be none electric- although they will be brand new and don't have to worry about the electrics failing. Also can supply heating for not much extra cost. Here is the guy in Poland and if you look through the pictures the orange ones are just like the recaro . Any colour or material. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RECARO-LS-LSb-seats-the-Pair-Leather/264529584394?hash=item3d9731210a:g:kq8AAOSwSK9dyWxf
