Think your probably right chap sounds like the spline has worn , it sort of happens for the first minute or so and then the wiper seems to settle and not slam the trim anymore.
-
I fitted mine today as well I think I have something wrong with my passenger wiper arm or the bolts needs adjusting as still hitting the lower plastic window trim on full speed if that makes sense. Also still missing part of the centre screen. Checked and my arms are x2 rhd drive Lupo GTi so a bit mythed by it!

Great work here !

The main thing apart from the adjusting is that they have a seal as well so if your rear adjuster is cracked or snapped it could let damp and water in the headlight unit.
-
I actually have purchased two of the adjusters and just got off the phone to the councillor seeking redemption.
-
That headlight is for an early car DR Mat. Arz are selling the OE adjuster for 60 euro each . By the way you can still buy the seal for the adjuster.
-
Nonetheless they could not add a premium on to the car at the time as been a limited edition compared to the other models for sale. Im sure this car will do well but I would rather a black recaro interior anyday of the week. Infact for 40 K I would want two VR6 engines and a dual VSR ha ! Mk2 golf are a million times easier to run agreed ! Also cars like the E30 have a huge aftermarket and classic division support network so another great classic to own + BBS range is much more of a bargain !

As regards to a MOT as long as you have evidence you have addressed it then not a problem at all .
-
Want 40k Shaun not 30k.

If you look at the pricing it appears that VW had it priced similar to other Corrado VR6 at the time and did not even put a premium on the car - I think the color combo was not an easy sell to be honest. There is a black VR6 automatic one with the same mileage and age that was even a few hundred more expensive. There is that feeling I have had with cars where I have spent that much money and just want to recoup- I nearly did it with my Rado last year but decided against it as why should someone else enjoy my hard work.

Let’s get things into respective it has a red recaro interior and a body colour that you can spray off the paint chart . This is not know homologation special like an E30 M3 or a 190E EVO or even a cosworth . The car has no race history it was an incentive to get some laszyasses to sell some more cars. Also let’s be honest the colour scheme would not be a common required taste as red is not everyone’s cup of tea . Sorry just my opinion. Hopefully it will sell for that as I'm sure it will increase prices as a whole. Perfect rado for sale for me would be. Fully restored VSR manifold Black Recaros Vdo gauge pod Gemini Vw motorsport 6 dogleg gear box . Now that’s what stock special edition should be and also with lightweight panels and spoilers, power upgrade of at least 30bhp. Also I saw a 964 sell for 37K a couple of weeks backs from a Porsche specialist, what would you rather have ? Then you have a Golf Rallye which you could probably pick up for 20k which is a real special edition with many individual/specific parts which would of cost VW a hell of a lot of money to develop, not a phone call to Recaro trimming department !!!

I used a place called Mars in Walsall . They sanded down the leather steering wheel and then spray paint the steering wheel with interior leather paint. Think it cost me £60.00.

You can buy the black ones direct from Heritage . Also the silver ones can be purchased from Classics ordered through Heritage, One of those rare moments where you have a choice of OE Corrado parts. I believe this was stock for a Polo but none the less is exactly the same but in black. https://www.vwheritage.com/357853601b-rear-vw-emblem-in-black-vw-spare

The doors can start getting stiff when the hinges start to fail as the weight of the door is partly been distributed on to the striker which it should not, an old trick is to put some timber and cloth under your door at the corner and jack it up a little, however the proper fix is new hinges and pins . To check your hinges lift the door up on the corner towards the rear of the car and move it up and down and see if there is play in your hinges. Even better if you can get someone to do do whilst you watch . Its normally the bottom one from memory.
-
It could be due to the hinge starting to drop and also striker pin. Lift your door up and down and see if there is play in the hinge weld or hinge pin . Also check your catch on the striker pin.

You need 2 or 3 of these 1H0129833

I take it the knurled handle is meant to spin up and down the thread because mine has rusted on the end. Also the sleeve inside has snapped on both also casing that fits in housing is loose with cracks . Looks like I'm going to have to buy some adjusters, I suppose I could see it as £250 for basically new headlights (reflectors) and that adjust properly. I imagine all the second hand light available will be in poor condition so do not think it was better to buy some second hand headlights.
-
Yes I think they are no good. However I have found some new ones for sale but please sit down when looking at the price. https://www.arz-tuning.de/shop/en/adjustment-knob-vertical-height-adjustment-corrado

The handle and the internal sleeve are fragile it is a very poor quality plastic. The white bits on the end that house the reflector are better quality and were still very strong. Looks different then the Corrado one but seen these and says fits. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLKSWAGEN-FRONT-HEADLAMP-HEADLIGHT-ADJUSTER-SET-SCREW-BUSH-CLIP-KIT/192933421670?_trksid=p2485497.m4902.l9144 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLKSWAGON-CAR-HEADLAMP-HEADLIGHT-FULL-ADJUSTER-KIT-SCREW-BUSH-CLIP-SET/152604842890?fits=Model%3ACorrado&hash=item2387f51b8a:g:jicAAOSwbtVZS8FN
